On the other side, FC Dallas is one of the teams with high ambitions in the Western Conference. Following the last year’s playoffs, the franchise from Texas would like to attack even the title, so this game might be one of the more important for Dallas this year. 

El Toros started the year with a loss at home to Minnesota United, 0-1, before winning two events and posting one tie. However, in two events outside Texas, we saw them failing to reach a victory. 

Knowing that LA FC uses its home-field advantage almost perfectly, things will be hard for Toros in LA. The champs are much closer to victory than the visitors.

Portland Timbers vs. LA Galaxy

This is the opening game of round 5, and it’s a blast. Even though Portland and LA Galaxy didn’t start the year as expected, we expect an interesting clash. The Timbers have three losses in a row, in all of them conceding at least two goals. Following an opening win, this is a big blow for Giovani Savarese’s unit. 

On the other hand, the Galaxy is without a victory this season, having one loss and two ties. They play mediocre football, but we need to say that the top two players, Chicarito and Douglas Costa, are out due to injuries, making the situation very hard for LA. 

Portland’s poor defense and attacking mentality should make this event efficient, despite Galaxy’s problems with forwards. With the full-time result being highly unpredictable, a high-scoring game is expected.

Columbus Crew vs. Atlanta United

Meanwhile, Atlanta is pushing well for the moment. The Five Stripes posted three victories with one draw, netting twice in all those triumphs. Right now, Thiago Almada is the top scorer and assistant in the league, with four goals and setups each. 

Both teams are good on the offensive side of the ball, which should bring plenty of goals at Lower.com Field.
