Top MLS Games that are Worth Watching and Betting On this Weekend

Austin FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes

MLS Odds: Austin +228, San Jose +190, Draw +260
When: Saturday, April 29, 8:30 pm ET
Where: Q2 Stadium, Austin, Texas
TV / Streaming: MLS Season Pass

The boys from Texas are in a problem, as they couldn’t post a win for the last five events. The elimination by Viollete in the CONCACAF Champions League apparently ruined the chemistry. Even though we didn’t see too many starters in that matchup, the atmosphere was ruined, and as a consequence, Austin has been scoreless for the past three clashes.

On the other side are the Quakes, who were eliminated from the US Open Cup by Monterey Bay, 1-0. Previously, they were beaten in Salt Lake, 3-1. Though, this team plays solid football, with Cristian Espinoza leading the way. The Argentinian is the third scorer in the MLS with six goals and also has two assists.

At some point, Austin’s attack will have to deliver, and the game against the Quakes is an excellent opportunity. Meanwhile, Espinoza and the guests have a mediocre defense against them, which is why we should see goals on both ends here.

Toronto FC vs. New York City

MLS Odds: Toronto -0.5 +131, New York +0.5 -168 / Toronto +138, New York +195, Draw +244 /O/U 2.5
When: Saturday, April 29, 7:30 pm ET
Where: BMO Field, Toronto, Canada
TV / Streaming: MLS Season Pass

We don’t quite know what’s happening with Toronto, who has six ties in nine events. This team was supposed to battle for the top of the conference, and currently, they sit outside the playoffs zone. FC’s games at BMO Field are exciting, with the hosts often scoring – seven times in four appearances.

City is fourth in the East, but that’s mostly due to their performances at home. Outside the Big Apple, they have two ties and losses each, scoring just two goals. In all four of those contests, City was inferior.

When looking at the roster, the Canadians have a better team and are favorites for many to take all three points. They play flamboyant soccer at BMO, and have huge chances of beating NYC, who looks flat on the road.

Chicago Fire vs. New York Red Bulls

MLS Odds: Chicago Fire +380, New York -145
When: Saturday, April 29, 8:30 pm ET
Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois
TV / Streaming: MLS Season Pass

Fire posted mixed results lately, but overall, they can be satisfied with their performances. They need to improve slightly at home, where they have four ties and one win since the MLS began. We’ve seen them lacking luck in certain moments, but hopefully, for their fans, that should change in the future.

On the other side, New York Red Bulls have only one victory since the campaign started, which frustrates the entire organization and the fans. What makes things worse before this matchup are injuries, with several players sidelined.

There isn’t a better chance for Fire to take three points at home than this one. The Bulls face multiple problems, and seeing them unbeaten in Illinois would be a big surprise.
