Champions League Round of 16: Second Leg Matches: March 7 – March 15

Benfica -217 vs. Club Brugge +580

When: Tuesday, March 7 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Estádio da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal

Benfica went to Belgium in the first leg and dusted Club Brugge 2-0. The Portuguese Liga squad looks like a lock to make it to the quarterfinals.

Brugge just isn’t as good as Benfica. So we shouldn’t expect much from the road team in this.

Chelsea -119 vs. Dortmund +320

When: Tuesday, March 7 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Stamford Bridge, London, England

Dortmund leads 1-0 on the aggregate. The Blues haven’t played great soccer in recent games. So pay attention to Chelsea’s Saturday match versus Leeds.

If the Blues turn around their form, they could beat Dortmund. But if they struggle against Leeds, Chelsea will step onto the Stamford Bridge pitch an underlay.

Bayern Munich -120 vs. Paris Saint-Germain +280

When: Wednesday, March 8 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Allianz Arena, München, Germany

PSG is on a 2-match winning streak heading into the weekend. So it appears Paris will step onto the grass in Munich in much better form than in the first leg.

Bayern, though, will be tough to beat. Munich is up 1-0 on the aggregate and is playing lights out. Bayern will want to close the door early. We should see an aggressive Munich side.

Tottenham Hotspur -101 vs. AC Milan +270

When: Wednesday, March 8 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England

AC Milan heads to London with a 1-0 aggregate lead. Like Chelsea, Tottenham hasn’t played at the top of their form cycle.

The Hotspur are a talented bunch. So if Tottenham shows something versus Wolverhampton over the weekend, consider them a live favorite versus their Serie A rivals.

FC Porto +165 vs. Inter Milano +157

When: Tuesday, March 14 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Estádio do Dragão, Porto, Portugal

Although Inter has a 1-0 lead, the Serie A team should be in desperation mode because FC Porto has a history of coming up big in the Champions League.

Inter often fails at this stage. The match takes place in Portugal, which makes Porto, at least for now, an overlay at the odds.

Manchester City -229 vs. RB Leipzig +550

When: Tuesday, March 14 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, England

City and Leipzig drew 1-1 in the first leg. Manchester City has since looked great blasting Bournemouth and Bristol City.

Leipzig is also in good form. Wait to see how each team performs in their next couple of matches before pulling the trigger on either.

Napoli -186  vs. Eintracht Frankfurt +480

When: Wednesday, March 15 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli, Italy

Unless Napoli falls apart, the Serie A team should have the aggregate in the bag. Napoli beat Frankfurt 2-0 in the first leg and that match happened in Germany.

Napoli continues to shine as one of this season’s top UEFA club teams. The -186 odds are more than fair.

Real Madrid +105 vs. Liverpool +220

When: Wednesday, March 15 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid, Spain

In Thursday’s 1-0 Copa del Rey loss to rival Barcelona, Real looked terrible. El Blanco could get nothing going.

However, Real has a massive 3-goal lead on the aggregate versus Liverpool. The Reds bombed big time in the first leg, falling 5-2. Carlo Ancelotti’s team rocks at the Champions League. So we should expect Real to come out playing great soccer even though they’ve got a huge lead.
