We’re well into the third round at Wimbledon and there has been plenty of exciting matches. The betting favorites are still alive, but have had to work a little harder than anticipated to get to where they are. 

Third and fourth round matches will be played over the weekend, weather depending, and there’s plenty of pairings that could contend for the match of the weekend. Must-Bet Matches

• Nick Kyrgios (-140) vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas (+110)

This has the potential to be one of the best matches of the tournament and certainly the best of the fourth round. After overcoming a tough first round match against Paul Jubb, Kyrgios was dominant in his second round match and looked confident as ever.

Tsitsipas is having a great grass court season, but is 1-3 against Kyrgios in four career matches. Kyrgios, however, has a tendency for getting rattled easily. The crowd won’t be on his side and it could be a frustrating match for the Aussie. Expect Tsitsipas to advance in four sets.

• Harmony Tan (+175) vs. Kate Boulter (-225)

Briton Kate Boulter has become the darling of the Wimbledon crowd after Emma Raducanu lost her second round match. Boulter, world No. 118, scored a major upset over Karolina Pliskova in the second round.

Tan is coming off two major upset victories against Serena Williams and Sara Sorribes Tormo. Boulter will have the home crowd on her side, but Tan had a much easier and shorter second round match. Regardless of who wins, it’ll be the first time either has advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon. 

Favorites

Novak Djokovic opened Wimbledon as a -125 favorite and is now even more favored to win his 21st Grand Slam. Other pre-tournament favorites Felix Auger-Aliassime and Hubert Hurkacz have been eliminated, while Matteo Berrettini was forced to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19.

Djokovic is up against fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in the third round. 

Iga Swiatek is continuing her remarkable, record-breaking run at Wimbledon. She won her 37th consecutive match in the second round, although showed some cracks in her armor, and is up against Alize Cornet in the third round on Saturday.

Upsets

Tan and Boulter scored two of the biggest upsets in the women’s draw. Boulter defeated world No. 7 Karolina Pliskova on Centre Court. Most of the other matches in the women’s draw went to the favorites.

The men’s draw didn’t have any major upsets, although American Brandon Nakashima defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov in four sets. The win puts Nakashima to the third round at Wimbledon for the first time in his career. 

Liam Broady also scored the biggest win of his career with a five-set victory over world No. 15 Diego Schwartzman.
