Kevin Lee vs. Al Iaquinta

  • UFC on FOX 31 Odds: Lee -310 / Iaquinta +255

Kevin Lee (17-3) is 26-years-old and stand 5’9” with a 77-inch reach. He comes into this match off a brutal fifth round TKO (doctor stoppage) win over Edson Barboza in April to bounce back from his third round submission loss against Tony Ferguson in his previous match.

Al Iaquinta (13-4-1) is 31-years-old and stands 5’9” with a 70-inch reach. He put up a great effort against now, reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but had his five-fight winning streak snapped via unanimous decision in April.

Analysis

I’m thinking Al Iaquinta is offering some stupendous value as a +255 pick, seeing as how he gave Khabib Nurmagomedov all he could handle and them some in his last bout. If Iaquinta can go toe-to-toe against arguably the best fighter on the planet, he can definitely win here despite being an underdog.

Dan Hooker vs. Edson Barboza

  • UFC on FOX 31 Odds: Hooker -115 / Barboza -105

Dan Hooker (17-7) is 28-years-old and stands 6’2” with a 75-inch reach. He’s won four straight and comes into this bout off a stunning first round KO (punches) win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 226 in July.

Edson Barboza (19-6) is 32-years-old and stands 6’1” with a 75-inch reach. He’s lost two straight fights including his brutal fifth round TKO (doctor stoppage) loss against Kevin Lee in April.

Analysis

I’m feeling like Dan Hooker is a lock here.

Rob Font vs. Sergio Pettis

  • UFC on FOX 31 Odds: Font -165 / Pettis +145

Rob Font (15-4) is 31-years-old and stands 5’8” with a 71.5-inch reach. Font has lost two of his last three fights and comes into this bout off a unanimous decision loss against Raphael Assuncao in July.

Sergio Pettis (17-4) is 25-years-old and stands 5’6” with a 69-inch reach. He’s also lost two of his last three fights and comes into this bout off a unanimous decision loss against Jussier Formiga at UFC 229 in October.

Analysis

Pettis is offering the best value here. he’s younger and faster and has the slight edge in experience.

Charles Oliveira vs. Jim Miller

  • UFC on FOX 31 Odss: Oliveira -300 / Miller +250

Charles Oliveira (24-8-0-1NC) is 29-years-old and stands 6’0” with a 74-inch reach. He’s won two straight coming into this affair including his second round submission (rear-naked choke) against Christos Giagos in September. Oliveira is look to avenge the first loss of his professional career which came against Miller back in 2010.

Jim Miller (29-12-0-1NC) is 35-years-old and stands 5’8” with a 71-inch reach. He comes into this bout off a stunning first round submission (rear-naked choke) win over Alex White in September that snapped a four-fight losing streak. Miller beat Oliveira by way of a brutal first round submission (kneebar) win at UFC 214 back in December of 2010.

Analysis

These two fighters clearly aren’t the same guys that met way back in 2010. Now, I’m thinking Charles Oliveira looks great here at -300.
