Written by on July 8, 2019

With the 2019 NBA regular season starting to heat up in a big way, now is a great time to offer up some expert picks on this coming week’s action. Whether you like favorites, value-packed underdogs or making simple Over/Under wagers that take the guesswork out of often arduous ATS picks, then you’re in luck. Now, let’s find out where the best WNBA betting value lies this  for this coming week’s slate of action.

Top WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – July 8th

Connecticut (9-5) at Atlanta (3-10)

  • Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 AM ET

Connecticut might be in second place in the WNBA standings, but the Sun have dropped four straight including a hard-fought 74-71 loss against Minnesota on Saturday despite getting a team-high 16 points from Jasmine Thomas. Atlanta has dropped eight of its last 10 games including a crushing 65-63 road loss against Phoenix despite getting a team-high 29 points from Brittney Sykes.

Prediction

Despite their struggles, Connecticut is the easy pick to get the win in this matchup despite being on the road. Atlanta is allowing a league-worst 8.6 points per game more than they average (69.9 ppg) and that lack of offensive firepower will doom them against a Sun team that averages a healthy 77.8 points per game.

WNBA Betting Pick: Connecticut 79 Atlanta 75

Dallas (4-9) at Seattle (8-8)

  • Friday, July 12 at 10:00 PM ET

Dallas has dropped six of 10 and two straight heading into the new week, including a humbling 78-66 loss to Los Angeles on Sunday night. Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 22 points but shot just 7 of 21 from the field, including 0 for 5 in the fourth quarter when the Wings were outscored 26-12.

Defensing champion Seattle has gone 5-5 over their last 10 but the Storm have also dropped three straight heading into the new week including a 77-66 loss at Atlanta on Friday night. Natasha Howard had 20 points and seven rebounds for Seattle but the Storm lost for the third consecutive time at home after opening 5-0 in games at the University of Washington and in nearby Everett as KeyArena undergoes renovation.

Prediction

Seattle is banged-up in a big way with three starters out of the lineup. Still, I’m going with the Storm to bounce back from their humbling loss to beat a Dallas team that averages fewer than 70 points per game and has the second-worst scoring differential mark in the league (-5.5 ppg).

WNBA Betting Pick: Seattle 78 Dallas 69

Las Vegas (9-5) at Washington (9-4)

  • Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 PM ET

Las Vegas has won seven of 10 and three straight entering the new week. The Aces routed the Chicago Sky 90-58 on Sunday by holding their opponents to a dismal 29.7 percent shooting mark from the field while getting a game-high 24 points from  Kayla McBride and 21 points from Liz Cambage. Washington has won seven of 10 buffered a humbling 98-81 loss to Los Angeles on Sunday as superstar forward Elena Delle Done suffered a facial injury in the first minute of the contest and did not return.

Prediction

Elena Della Done will be fine by the time this contest rolls around and for me, that makes Washington the pick to get the outright win in this matchup of elite title contenders. The Mystics average 3.2 points per game more than the Aces while also giving up 1.7 fewer points per game defensively. Washington has lost just once at home this season while Las Vegas is a modest 3-3 on the road.

WNBA Betting Pick: Washington 81 Las Vegas 75
