NASCAR Xfinity Series: Alsco Uniforms 300 Odds and Betting Analysis of the Race

Written by on March 2, 2023

If you are a fan of NASCAR, you will be well aware that Cup Series drivers often drop into the other series, a move that tends to have a serious impact on the odds for the races they choose. We are seeing that this weekend in Las Vegas, as we have Cup Series guys hitting both the Xfinity and Truck Series races, with Kyle Busch especially busy over the weekend. The decision you have to make is whether to go with those guys or stick with the drivers who race full-time in their chosen series. Taking the latter option may well mean playing drivers to finish in the top 5 as opposed to winning outright, just to hedge your bets a little.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the NASCAR Xfinity betting favorites of the Alsco Uniforms 300 in Las Vegas, which goes at 4:30 PM EST on Saturday.

Kyle Busch (+180)

Busch is scheduled to race in all 3 events this weekend, so you do have to wonder if he is perhaps spreading himself a little too thin. That said, he does have an incredible record when he makes a move to the Xfinity Series, winning all 5 races that he entered last season. That would seem to make him a bit of a slam dunk this weekend, but stranger things have happened. He did pick up the win the last time he races in Las Vegas in the Xfinity Series, which is just one more reason why he seems like the obvious pick here.

John H. Nemechek (+600)

If there is a benefit to Cup Series drivers dropping in, it’s that the odds for the full-time drivers in the Xfinity Series become a little more tempting. That is certainly the case with Nemechek, who is off to a fantastic start to the season. He got things rolling with a 2nd place finish in Daytona in the opening race of the season, followed by a win in California last weekend. If that isn’t a sign of a driver intent on winning it all this year, I don’t know what is. He could well be the biggest threat to Busch this weekend.

Cole Custer (+700)

After making his return to the Xfinity Series, the bookies saw him as one of the favorites to win it all this year. After all, he had a pair of 2nd place overall finished before making the move to the Cup Series, where things didn’t go as well as hoped. Favorite or not, Custer has not had the best start to the season, with 9th being his best finish over the opening 2 races. There is still a feeling that things will click for him, but will that happen this weekend?

Josh Berry (+700)

You have to say that 2022 proved to be a very solid debut season for Berry on the Xfinity Series, as he made it all the way to the final four before coming up a little short. Berry is looking to improve on that, and while he got off to a poor start in Daytona in the opening race of the season, he did bounce back with a top 5 finish last weekend. He finished 4th in Vegas last season and might be a good pick to repeat that performance on Saturday.
