Beating Northwestern isn’t a given and Ohio State will dominate their biggest rivals in the final regular season game.

This is the way it should be in the SEC.
Alabama versus LSU to see which team keeps their College Football Playoff hopes alive.
The LSU Tigers lost a lead to Texas A&M in their last in a 38-23 loss.
Bama beat Mizzou 34-0 in their last.
Both teams head into the game after a bye.
The Crimson Tide have more to cheer about but Alabama has thrown in some duds this season.
So we can’t be too sure if Alabama will do enough to either cover the -2.5 or win the game straight up.
LSU’s Brian Kelly will have made significant changes.
Still, even if we aren’t sure about Bama, the Tide is the pick to cover the spread.
Why? Any defense that yields 38 points to the A&M Aggies isn’t playing well enough to stop Jalen Milroe and the Alabama offense.
Bama covers against one of their top SEC rivals.

Mississippi heads into their battle against Georgia having won two straight.
The Rebels beat Oklahoma 26-13 and then handed Arkansas a 63-31 beating.
So Ole Miss should feel good about their chances on Saturday.
Ah, but we’ve seen this story before.
Georgia beat Texas a few weeks back as a road dog.
This time, the Bulldogs are a road favorite.
Not only that but Ole Miss tends to bounce after blowout wins.
The Rebels fell to Kentucky 20-17 after scoring 52 against Georgia State in a win earlier in the season.
Kirby Smart knows that a win over Ole Miss takes the Dawgs a step closer to the SEC Championship.
Tennessee looms but Smart won’t allow his team to think ahead.
Georgia covers in a game that won’t be nearly as close as the spread implies.

A Win Over Rival Utah and 8 BYU Should Go Undefeated During the Regular Season
The BYU Cougars are -3.5 road favorite versus rival Utah on Saturday.
A victory over their chief rivals could lead to the Cougs going 12-0 this season.
BYU hosts Kansas takes on Arizona State in Tempe, and then hosts Houston in their final three games.
The Cougars should win all three with the exception of possibly beating the Sun Devils, which have quietly gone 6-2 this NCAAF season.
If BYU does run the table, even a loss in the Big 12 Championship shouldn’t keep the Cougars from the CFP.
As far as this week’s game is concerned, the Cougars figure to get it done with a cover victory.
BYU is much more consistent than Utah and the Cougars’ defense is playing great football.

10 Notre Dame a -25.5 Fave at Home Against Florida State
At the beginning of the season, many expected Florida State to challenge for the ACC title.
The Seminoles returned some players and Mike Norvell was active in the transfer portal, acquiring former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback D.J. Uagalelei.
FSU has collapsed. The Seminoles are 1-8.
Norvell should get fired after this season.
Yes, he did a great job in 2023 to coach the Seminoles to an undefeated season but when you go 1-8, there’s a problem.
It means that all the moves you made in the offseason as a coach were meaningless and that you don’t know how to motivate your players.
Also, you can’t recruit or utilize the transfer portal after going 1-8, or Norvell’s and FSU’s case, should be 2-10 or possibly 1-11 if Charleston beats the Seminoles on Nov 23.
Notre Dame is going to demolish Florida State.
The Irish are rolling on both sides of the football.
Riley Leonard, the former Duke quarterback, isn’t posting Heisman Trophy stats but he doesn’t have to.
The Irish rushed for 265 yards against Navy.
Notre Dame is playing old school football, rushing the pigskin, and then relying on a top defense.
Marcus Freeman’s squad will cover the massive spread no problem on Saturday.
