This is also on the first day of the season.
This game will be played in Reno.
The SMU Mustangs are big favorites in this game.
In fact, nearly four touchdown favorites over Nevada.
The Mustangs are a potential Top 25 team this season.
They can really move the football up and down the field.
While Nevada will be able to compete for a while, through the entire game, they have no chance to win this game.
SMU wins this game on the road to start their season.
North Carolina Tar Heels over Minnesota Golden Gophers
One of our favorite games in Week 1.
It is the Atlantic Coast Conference against the Big Ten.
The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
This game will be on FOX from Minneapolis.
A season ago, North Carolina won at home, and won easily.
That was with Drake Maye.
Minnesota has PJ Fleck rowing the boat, but in the end, the athleticism of North Carolina is what we like best.
The Tar Heels pull off a big time road win to start the season.
Colorado Buffaloes over North Dakota State Bison
It is not the start of College Football without the Colorado Buffaloes in action.
They will take on a tough North Dakota State team that finished 11-4 last season.
They fell in the playoff, in overtime to Montana.
Colorado will have the Sanders brothers back, and we already know they are going to be able to score.
We feel this game will not be close.
The spread is single digits, and we are not dealing with who covers here, but the Buffaloes win this game by double digits.
Missouri Tigers over Murray State Racers
The Missouri Tigers are a sneaky pick to make the College Football playoff this season.
Memorial Stadium will be rocking to start the season.
The Tigers are going to want to save their energy for SEC play, but it will take some to beat the Racers.
Murray State hangs around for a while, but the fast pace offense of Missouri becomes too much for Murray State.
Missouri wins at home.
Illinois Fighting Illini over Eastern Illinois Panthers
Even Illinois cannot lose at home to an instate rival, right?
Brett Bilemna and his Illini should have no problem at home beating the Panthers.
We like Illinois to win this game, and win it easily over Eastern Illinois.
