When the regular season in the Cup Series comes to a close, only 16 drivers will move on with a chance of ending the year as the champion.
There are now just 3 races remaining to decide which drivers will be taking part, starting with the FireKeepers Casino 400 this weekend in Michigan.

My Cup Series Analysis
Of course, we already know the majority of the drivers who will be part of the playoffs, but down near the cut line, there are still a few who are not entirely certain whether they will be in or out.
The good news is that most control their own destiny, but can they do what it takes to stay alive?
We are taking it one race at a time, so let’s start by looking at this Sunday’s race.
^Denny Hamlin NASCAR Pick +570
Despite being one of the most consistent drivers in the Cup Series, Hamlin is still in search of his first championship.
He is once again up among the leaders, sitting in 4th overall in the driver standings.
On the face of it, he has had a solid season, winning 3 races to this point, although it is worth noting that those wins all came in the first half of the season.
It has been a minute since his last win, which could make him a risky proposition in terms of betting to win, but he did finish 2nd in last week’s race.
He has also been on the podium in each of the last 2 races in Michigan, so a top 3 bet seems like a good idea.

Kyle Larson NASCAR Pick +590
If the regular season were to end today, Larson would end it in the #1 spot in the driver standings, but there are 3 races still to come and his lead at the top is a mere 5 points.
The ultimate goal of every driver is to win the championship, but they all love the idea of being #1 at the end of the regular season, so look for Larson to go all out to maintain that top spot over the final races of the season.
Larson has already matched his win total from last season, so he is on course for a championship. He has been good in Michigan, but a top 5 seems the safest bet.
^Ryan Blaney NASCAR Pick +700
After winning the Cup Series championship last season, Blaney came into 2024 with a ton of pressure on his shoulders.
That pressure seemed to weigh on him a little through the first half of the season, but he seems to be getting hot at the right time, winning 2 of the last 7 races to move into 5th in the driver standings.
It feels like Blaney is gearing up for another deep run this season, and when you consider that he has won on this Michigan track, he might be a good win bet this Sunday.
^Tyler Reddick NASCAR Pick +740
In terms of current form, few drivers have been hotter than Tyler Reddick. He is on a run of 6 straight races where he has finished no worse than 6th.
He does not have a win during that stretch, but it has moved him all the way up to 2nd in the driver standings.
Reddick does only have 1 win this entire season, so a risky bet to win this race.
He has also been poor on the Michigan track, so I’d be wary about betting on him at all.
