Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Betting Preview for Oregon State Beavers Vs Utah State Aggies

Utah State Aggies Preview

As mentioned, Utah State comes in with a record of 10-3 after finishing first in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference. The Aggies had a good strength of schedule this season and playing in a good conference helps. With losses coming from Boise State, BYU, and Wyoming, the Aggies handled everyone else in their way this season.

The Aggies are led by the air attack from quarterback Logan Bonner. Utah State averages 452 yards of offense a game, 305 coming from the air. Bonner has thrown for 3,500 yards and 36 touchdowns.

Defensively, the Aggies give up 391 yards a game and more yards coming on the passing game than the run game. They allow 25.3 points per game this season. The Aggies will have to get the air attack going to win this week against Oregon State.

Oregon State Beavers Preview

Very similar to Utah State, Oregon State gains a lot of yardage and they also are able to put up points. The Beavers are very more balanced in their attack than the Aggies. Oregon State averages 213 yards in the air and 217 yards on the ground.

B.J. Baylor for Oregon State is having a phenomenal year and is reaping the benefits on the passing side. He has 1,200 plus yards on the season, to go along with 13 touchdowns. Baylor is the main stay in the Beaver offense. Chance Nolan leads the offense at the quarterback position with 19 touchdowns and 2,400 plus yards.

In order for Oregon State to win, they need to get Baylor involved in the game. If Utah State is able to shut down Baylor, then it could be a long day for the Beavers. Defensively, like Utah State, the Beavers give up a lot too. On average they give up 388 yards of offense.

Aggies vs Beavers Odds & Lines

They expect a lot of points to be scored in this game. With the firepower in both offenses, it makes total sense to see the high point total in the over/under. Oregon State is favored by a touchdown going into the game. With the strength of the schedule the Beavers have played, it is easy to see why they would be favored. Do not sleep on the Aggies though. They are a team that can come out of nowhere and put up points in a hurry.
