The reunion of college teammates Derek Carr and Davante Adams had mixed results in 2022. Adams was still great, catching passes at a career-high rate of 15.2 yards per catch. He also had 14 touchdowns, the second-highest total of his career. However, as good as Adams was, the Raiders were not. Las Vegas finished the season at 6-11, and with Carr on the bench.
This year the Las Vegas Raiders are trying a reunion of head coach Josh McDaniels and quarterback Jimmy Garoppollo, if Jimmy G is healthy. If he isn’t, the Raiders quarterback cupboard is quite bare, even as the offense boasts some of the best skill players in the league.
Check out an in-depth NFL betting lines and analysis for the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense.
2023 Las Vegas Raiders Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis | MyBookie NFL Preview
Las Vegas Raiders: 54th season in the NFL
Owner: Mark Davis
Head Coach: Josh McDaniels
Home Field: Allegiant Stadium | Paradise, Nevada
Super Bowl Odds: +5800
Most Regular Season Rushing Yards in 2023
Nick Chubb (+300)
Derrick Henry (+400)
Jonathan Taylor (+600)
Josh Jacobs (+1400)
Running backs may be a devalued position in the NFL, but betting on Raiders running back Josh Jacobs may be quite valuable in 2023. In spite of his great season in 2022 in his first year in McDaniels’ offense, he’s paying nearly five-times as much as Nick Chubb to be this season’s rushing champion.
Jacobs had career highs in yards, yards per carry, and touchdowns in 2022, and there is every reason to think that he will be featured just as much this year, if not more. Of the top four favorites to win the 2023 rushing title, Jacobs comes with the most financial upside.
Josh Jacobs Over/Under Regular Season Rushing Yards
Over 1100.5 (+100)
Under 1100.5 (-120)
Jacobs has gone over 1100 yards twice in his four seasons, including last year’s 1,653 yards. Bookmakers are a little pessimistic on Jacobs in 2023, paying even money on the over. That is good value on a rushing total that a healthy Jacobs should reach.
Josh Jacobs Over/Under Rushing Touchdowns
Over 9.5 (-105)
Under 9.5 (-115)
In his four seasons the rushing touchdown totals for Jacobs have been 7, 12, 9, and 12. He has been their top red zone player since he came to the Raiders in 2019, and he should remain that way this season.
The NFL MVP award has become the domain of quarterbacks, leaving the Offensive Player of the Year Award for everyone else on that side of the ball. Wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Cooper Kupp were the last two winners of the award, with running back Derrick Henry winning the award in 2020 after he rushed for 2,000 yards.
Among the favorites this year, Davante Adams is tied for the third shortest odds among wide receivers, and he’s tied for fifth shortest odds among everyone. Adams was terrific last year in Las Vegas, even as no one else emerged as a realistic second option. Las Vegas had just one other pass catcher go for more than 400 yards.
Jakobi Meyers is now in Las Vegas, and his presence should open things up even more for Adams.
