There are a few teams in the NFL who have been knocking on the door of greatness for a few years now, but who always seem to come up short when all is said and done. One of those teams is the Indianapolis Colts. Since drafting Andrew Luck to take over from Peyton Manning, the Colts have had one of the best passing games in the league, but their lack of a decent run game, as well as an inability to slow down their opponents, has left them on the outside looking in more often than not. They are off to a poor start this season, and really need to get something out of this road trip to Tennessee this weekend. The Titans are better than expected, and are hot on the heels of the division leading Texans after a 3-3 start. The Titans drafted a very solid QB of their own in Marcus Mariotta, and while his numbers this year are not spectacular, he has been incredibly efficient. This is a must win for both teams, and it’s the Titans who come in as a 2.5-point favorite. Find the latest NFL spread here.

A Closer Look At The Colts At Titans NFL Winning Favorites
When: Sunday, October 23 at 1 PM EST Where: Nissan Stadium, Nashville TV: CBS Radio: WFNI and WGFX Live Stream: CBS Sports Network NFL Odds: TBAWhy bet on the Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts may not be having a lot of joy this season, but the Titans are a team that they always seem to do well against. They are 4-0 against the Titans over the past two seasons, which includes a 2-0 record on the road in Tennessee. They are also a good bet ATS in weeks 5 through 9 of the NFL season, going 9-2 ATS in the last 3 seasons during that stretch. While these are all positive trends, it still cannot be ignored that this team is severely lacking in the run department. The good news there, though is that they may finally have broken out, as they put up 161 yards on the ground versus the Texans last week, which was the first time they had passed the 100-yard barrier this season. Why bet on the Tennessee Titans
When you have a young QB who is still getting used to life in the NFL, you want to give him as much help as possible. The Titans have done a good job of protecting Mariotta, and have a run game going that minimizes the number of risks he has to take when throwing the ball. He is not necessarily being asked to be a game manager, but is being put in a position where he gets to make a lot of high percentage throws, simply because the running game is making things a good deal easier. This is a balanced attack that is very hard to defend.Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
While recent form would suggest that the Titans should get the win on home field, you cannot ignore the fact that the Colts seem to have their number. I like Indianapolis to win this one, although I do believe it will be close.Indianapolis Colts 27 Tennessee Titans 24
