In the NFL, a poor start to the season often kills your playoff chances early on, but there are times when a team can put together a run that pulls them back from the brink of disaster. A prime example of that was the 2015 Kansas City Chiefs, as they won their final 10 games of the season to somehow overcome a 1-5 start. It was an amazing run that was finally cut short in the playoffs, but it’s also a run that has them coming into this season thinking that they can be a real challenger for Super Bowl betting if they can avoid that early season slump. They will head out on the road for Week 2 of the NFL preseason to face the LA Rams, who made a triumphant return to their old stomping grounds in the opening week. This looks as though it’s going to be an exciting season in the City of Angels, and you have to wonder of this team can find a way to rise up and meet the expectations of their huge fan base. Only time will tell.

Why bet on the Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs went down on a last second TD versus the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 of the preseason, but rather than looking at the 17-16 loss as a whole, they will likely be looking at how much they dominated in the first half when their starters were in. They had a 13-3 lead at the half in that game, and the defense looked to be very much in tune, which is certainly nice to see at this early stage of the season. The Chiefs went with 5 different QB’s versus the Seahawks, and it was Aaron Murray out of Georgia who stood out, going 3-5 for 52 yards. I expect to see him get more time on Saturday night as the Chiefs try to settle on a number two behind Alex Smith. Why bet on the LA Rams
Last week was a special one in LA, as the Rams returned home to play in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 90,000-plus. The ended up leaving happy too, as the Rams were able to overcome the Cowboys in a 28-24 win. It was a feel good night for everyone involved, but there was always a feeling of inevitability about that one. This second game at home will provide more of a test, as a lot of the emotion and excitement from the first one will have abated. Rookie QB Jared Goff looked a little shaky, and will likely get a little more playing time in Week 2.Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
The Rams are a 3-point favorite in this one, which I think is a pretty fair betting line. This figures to be a close one, and I would not be surprised to see a low score. I’m taking the Chiefs to win this one by a field goal.Kansas City Chiefs 17 LA Rams 14
