The New York Giants may have failed to win the NFC East in 2016, but they’ve got some high hopes heading into 2017 after recording 11 wins a year ago to reach the postseason. The G-Men were mostly phenomenal on defense a year ago, but need to address a rushing attack that was completely non-existent a year ago.
No matter how you expect Eli Manning and company to do this coming season, there are a handful of matchups on New York’s 2017 docket that unequivocally qualify as must-bet matchups no gridiron gaming enthusiast should miss out on wagering on. Here is a look at the Giants’ 2016 stats, followed by my NFL betting analysis on their six, must-bet games on their 2017 schedule.

Week 1
Giants at Cowboys (-5) Analysis: After sweeping the Dallas Cowboys last season, I’m thinking the G-Men get their 2017 party started right by beating the hated Boys again, although I’m thinking a field goal finish is more like it! Pick: Dallas +5 PointsWeek 7
Seahawks at Giants (PK) Analysis: The G-Men might be at home, but there’s a reason New York isn’t favored and it’s because Seattle is a better team when it comes to all three phases. Russell Wilson and company get the road win in the Big Apple. Pick: Seattle as a Pick ‘EmWeek 12
Giants at Redskins (-1) Analysis: The Giants beat the Skins 19-10 in Washington in Week 17 but lost to their longtime NFC East division rivals 29-27 at home in Week 3. In 2017, I think both teams win at home, making the Redskins the pick in this matchup. Pick: Washington -1 PointWeek 13
Giants at Raiders (-3) Analysis: This matchup will be all about New York’s defense versus Oakland’s high-powered offense. New York will try its best to contain Derek Carr and company, but they won’t score enough points to make a win stand up. I like the Raiders to get the win in a thrilling, high-scoring affair. Pick: Oakland -3 PointsWeek 14
Cowboys (-1) at Giants Analysis: I know the Cowboys are the favorites to win the NFC East in 2017 after doing so a year ago, but just like last season, I’m sensing another regular season sweep for the G-Men over Dallas as they get the home win in Week 14. Pick: Giants +1 PointWeek 15
Eagles at Giants (-3.5) Analysis: New York split with Philadelphia a year ago with the longtime division rivals both winning at home. I’m thinking 2017 will produce a repeat of the annual two-game series. Pick: Giants -3.5 PointsMyBookie NFL
