This year’s playoffs have been a bit of a wild affair, but we are finally down to the two teams that will be vying for Super Bowl 58. MyBookie Sportsbook and 5 Reasons Why The San Francisco 49ers Will Win The Super Bowl
The Kansas City Chiefs had, when compared to previous seasons, a bit of a down year in the regular season, but they stepped into high gear and used their postseason experience to safely navigate then playoffs and make it to yet another championship game. With Brock Purdy under center for just his second season as the starter for the 49ers, he led his team to the Super Bowl after crashing out at the NFC Conference Game last year. The question now is whether he can make the move from Mr. Irrelevant to Super Bowl champion and potential MVP. While Purdy gets a lot of attention due to his meteoric rise, this is a team that, as a whole, looks like championship caliber.

An offensive one-two punch
The worst thing that an NFL offense can be is bland and one-dimensional. You get a lot of teams that rely heavily on one player, often the QB, to get the job done, while filling out the rest of the offensive roster with guys that aren’t quite up to the task. That is not the case with the San Francisco 49ers, as they can attack you in a variety of different ways.
We have to start this section by talking about Brock Purdy, as he is the conductor in what is an explosive offense. He was basically forced into playing last season after an injury bug hit the 49ers QB room, but he took advantage of that in a big way, getting the team to within a play or two of the Super Bowl. Last season was always going to be a tough act to follow, but he has actually topped it. Purdy ranked top 5 in all the major QB stats, aided by a great group of receivers.
While his stats are great, you also have to say that a solid running game helps, too, which is exactly what they get with Christian McCaffrey, who has had a stellar season and is in the MVP conversation alongside Purdy. That is an amazing one-two punch.
Defensively Sound
There is the old adage that says that it is defense that wins championships. That is true to a certain extent, but it also has to be said that the teams that have won the Super Bowl in the past decade or more tend to have an elite QB under center, too. Still, a top QB can mean little if the defense cannot hold up their end of the bargain.
It might seem odd to laud a defense that just surrendered 31 points to the Detroit Lions in the Conference Championship Game, but when all looked lost at a 7-24 deficit, the defense bore down and stifled Goff and the Lions in the second half of the football game. If this team gets the lead, they become very, very difficult to beat.
A Resilient Group
There have been a few times this season when the 49ers could have simply laid down to die. The first of those came in the regular season when they went on a run that saw them lose 3 straight games. The feeling was that their bubble had burst and that their great run with Purdy under center was coming to an end. They broke out if that slump, only to lose 2 of their last 3 games of the season, albeit with one of those coming in the final week when the #1 seed was already clinched.
They have also been seriously tested in the playoffs, beating the Packers in a close one in the Divisional Round before getting into that 7-24 hole against the Lions in the NFC Championship Game. Rather than simply accepting their fate, the 49ers dug deep and found a way back into that one, eventually taking it by a score of 34-31. They have blown out a bunch of teams this season, but there is plenty of evidence to suggest that they don’t mind getting sucked into a close game.
Playoff Proven
It has been a minute since the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl, but this is a team that is no stranger to deep runs in the playoffs, as they have now made it to the NFC Championship Game in 4 of the last 5 seasons, Yes, this is a different group of players, but there are plenty on this squad that have been down this road before.
You could certainly say the same thing for the Chiefs heading into Super Bowl 58, but that team has had its main core of players in place essentially the whole time. The 49ers have tinkered with their squad, particularly at the QB position, over the last 5 seasons, but this team looks like the best of the bunch. It seems to me that they may finally have the group of players that can go on and win it all.
They Don’t Mind Playing as the Favorite
All signs point to Super Bowl 58 being a close game between a pair of very good teams, but it is the 49ers who are in as a mild favorite at the moment. You are going to see a lot of different betting trends discussed over the next couple of weeks, many of which will point to the 49ers potentially being in trouble in the big game. They have not been great against the AFC this season and have really not fared well against the Chiefs in recent meetings. That said, what I am looking at is how they do in games when they are installed as the favorite. If you look back at the last 10 such games, you see that San Francisco won 8 of those outings. This is a different test altogether, but it’s one that I certainly think they are up for.
With all this information in hand, it’s now up to you to decide if the San Francisco 49ers can indeed win Super Bowl 58.
