The Miami Dolphins are hoping the return of franchise quarterback Ryan Tannehill can help them rebound from a horrific 2017 regular season that saw them win just six games while ranking among the worst offensive teams in the league last season. The Tennessee Titans are hoping to take another step forward in their evolution after firing head coach Mike Mularkey despite consecutive 9-7 seasons that saw them reach the playoffs both times.
Now, with the two AFC Super Bowl longshots looking to take the first step in their quest for success, let’s find out which team is offering the best NFL odds value in their Week 1 regular season opener.
Why should you consider betting on Miami in this Week 1 opener? Outside of the fact that the Dolphins are playing at home and they’ve got plenty of motivation after going 6-10 in 2017 to miss out on the playoffs last season, there really aren’t many good reasons to back the Dolphins in this contest. Tennessee does have a first-time head coach in Mike Vrabel and they could take some time to learn his new ways, but other than that, the Dolphins just don’t look very attractive to me in this contest, even at home.

Why should you consider betting on the Titans in this Week 1 opener? Because they have the best quarterback and running back in this matchup – by far. It’s nice that the Miami Dolphins have quarterback Ryan Tannehill back on the field for 2018 after he missed the entire 2017 campaign, but the fact of the matter is that Tannehill can’t hold Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota’s jock strap. The Titans also have a gifted running back in former Alabama star Derrick Henry that could be poised for a huge breakout season after being elevated to top dog status following the unexpected retirement of veteran DeMarco Murray. Tennessee has also gone 9-7 in each of the last two seasons, so they’ve built a winning mentality for their mostly young team.Team Statistics

Titans at Dolphins NFL Week 1 Analysis and Prediction
No matter how hard I try to envision the Dolphins getting the win at home in this contest, I just don’t see it happening. The Dolphins were foolish to jettison Pro Bowl running back Jay Ajayi and Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry last season and now I believe they’;re going to suffer the consequences of those decisions. Clearly, the Dolphins also haven’t figured out that Ryan Tannehill is simply mediocre and not the franchise quarterback they were hoping for when they drafted him in 2012, but that’s another reasons I believe they’re going to be pretty damned awful in 2018.MyBookie NFL
