While the rest of the sporting world is basically on lockdown, the NFL continues to move forward at its usual pace. The first wave of free agency has passed, as has the 2020 draft, which means that we now have a good idea of how teams will line up once the season begins, which we hope will be on schedule. With all of that in mind, now might be the time to get in on the action in regards wagering on who will win the Super Bowl. For some of the teams who are in as the early favorites, this might be the best price that you get them at. Let’s take a look at the top 5 favorites to win it all and their odds to win the Super Bowl LV.
Updated Odds for Super Bowl LV
Kansas City Chiefs
- Odds to Win the Super Bowl LV: +600
The defending Super Bowl champions will start the season as the favorites to win it all once again, which is no real surprise when you consider the offensive talent that they have at their disposal. The one area of concern for the Kansas City Chiefs is the secondary, which they did not really address at all in the draft. Still, when you can score points at the rate the Chiefs do, you tend to be a little less concerned about the defensive side of things.
Baltimore Ravens
- Odds to Win the Super Bowl LV: +650
History has shown us that running QB’s tend to not have a ton of success in the postseason. There is no denying that Lamar Jackson has been a breath of fresh air in Baltimore, but the Ravens have now had back to back early exits in the postseason with Jackson at the helm. This, though, is still a team coming off a 14-win season, and with them bolstering their run defense via the draft, the Baltimore Ravens look set to have another big year this coming season.
San Francisco 49ers
- Odds to Win the Super Bowl LV: +800
The San Francisco 49ers came ridiculously close to winning the Super Bowl last season, and with the core of that group still in place, you would think that they would be well placed to make another good run this coming season. There are still some questions as to whether Jimmy G is the QB to take the 49ers to the promised land, but I think he deserves more credit and less of the blame that he is currently being subjected to. I don’t think the 49ers get to the Super Bowl last season without him.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Odds to Win the Super Bowl LV: +900
If you had told me this time last year that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be among the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season, I would have called you crazy. After landing Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, and then going out and killing it in the draft, the Buccaneers are right where they should be in terms of the Super Bowl LV betting odds. Given Brady’s age, this is a small window of opportunity for Tampa Bay, but they are going for it in a big way.
New Orleans Saints
- Odds to Win the Super Bowl LV: +1000
Just when we thought that the New Orleans Saints might be entering a transition year, Drew Brees announces that he will be skipping retirement and coming back this season. That is great news for a Saints team that is arguably one of the best from top to bottom in the league. With the Bucs now a legitimate contender, winning the NFC South again is not going to be a given for the Saints, but they still definitely look like a playoff team and a Super Bowl contender.
