The Copa America final is set, with Colombia and Argentina going head-to-head on Sunday night, but before we get to that, we have one more game to come.
That will be the game which will decide who finishes 3rd overall.
My Analysis
That game is played between the two beaten semi-finalists, which in this case is Canada and Uruguay.
Some tournaments have done away with what is essentially a bronze medal game, but it’s a matchup that is still a part of the Copa America.
These games are always difficult to predict, as you never really know which players are actually interested in a game that essentially means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
On the other hand, these games tend to be a good deal more open offensively, so we might just be treated to some goals on Saturday night.
Uruguay is the favorite at odds of -178, but there are some things that could impact that, which we will get to in a moment. The goal total is set at 2 ½.

You have to feel a little bit of sympathy for Canada, as they were forced to face world champions, Argentina, twice in the tournament.
They lost both games 2-0 but gave a very good account of themselves in both games. That they have had to play those games and are still in this position gives you some idea of just how good they are.
The biggest question for the Canadians is where the goals are going to come from, as it was their ability to convert the scoring opportunities that they created that hurt them in both games against Argentina.
In fact, they have managed to score just 2 goals in the 5 games they have played in this tournament, which is going to be a problem against a Uruguay team that knows their way to goal.
^Uruguay Betting Odds -178
The biggest question for Uruguay after their 1-0 loss to Colombia in the semi-final is going to be their mindset ahead of this one.
You also have to wonder which players they are going to have available for the 3rd place game.
After their semi-final loss, several players ended up in the stands fighting Colombian fans, who were allegedly taunting family members of the Uruguay team.
Darwin Nunez was very much at the heart of the brawl, with a potential suspension coming his way before we get to this match.
Uruguay has now failed to score in each of their last 2 games, but the bigger concern is that they played against a 10-man Colombia team for the entire second half of that game.
The question now is whether they can set aside the madness of the Colombia game and go out on Saturday in hopes of restoring some national pride.
^Canada vs Uruguay Betting Prediction
This is a tough one to call, especially since we don’t know how CONMEBOL officials are going to come down on the Uruguay players and staff.
Assuming that things are left alone until after the tournament, I am on Uruguay to win this one.
