2024 Big South Most Conference

With familiar rivals clashing once again and exciting new conference matchups on the horizon, the Big South offers a captivating schedule for college football fans.

While current standings and the latest best college football bets might point towards some favorites, astute viewers know the value of a deeper analysis.

Consider factors like a team’s non-conference schedule, recent recruiting success, and potential coaching adjustments to unearth hidden value and identify potential upsets.

The Big South and Ohio Valley Conference have merged to develop a solid College Football conference.

Last season was the first year for it, and it ended up being quite competitive.

Every team won a conference game, and two teams tied for the top of the regular season title. Both the winners of the conference lost in their final game of the season.

5 teams won six or more games on the season.

Let’s take a look at the 2024 version and go with our Big South Most Anticipated Conference Matchups:

Tennessee State Tigers at Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles

One of our favorite games in this conference.

Two teams from the state of Tennessee battle it out.

Last season Tennessee Tech went 4-7 and Tennessee State went 6-5.

The Tigers struggled in conference play.

If they can figure out their own league, they have a heck of a season last year.

This will be a fun one, and should set the tone for a pretty competitive conference season through the next two months.

Tennessee State Tigers at Lindenwood University Lions

The bottom two teams in the league a season ago.

Tennessee State though won six games.

So, they will have a chance to come back and be pretty solid this season.

Lindenwood won a conference game a season ago, and won three games overall.

The Tigers lost their final four games of the season.

Look for them to be improved, and this to be a competitive game the first Saturday of October.

Gardner Webb Running Bulldogs at Tennessee Martin Skyhawks

This was the conference co-champions from a season ago.

Gardner Webb finished the season 5-0 at home, and 2-5 on the road. UT Martin also won all five of their games at home.

This will be a big one for early October, as both teams appear to have rosters ready to compete at the top again this season.

Eastern Illinois Panthers at Tennessee Martin Skyhawks

Eastern Conference gets a tough schedule as they are on the road at both co-champions from a season ago.

The Panthers finished strong a season ago winning their final four games of the season.

Eastern Illinois went 8-3 on the season.

Can the Panthers get through the road challenges and be a contender at the top of the conference?

Eastern Illinois Panthers at Gardner Webb Runnin Bulldogs

Yet another road test for the Panthers.

Eastern Illinois will have a little time off from their affair against Tennessee Martin, but will go right into a November game against the Running Bulldogs.

Eastern Illinois is going to be a fun team to follow, but can we follow them all the way through for a conference title?
