Formula 1 Betting Breakdown: Hungarian Grand Prix Odds, Expert Picks & Analysis

In our last post about F1, we spoke about wanting to see a driver step up and challenge Max Verstappen for the World Championship.

While we may have to wait a while to see such a challenge emerge, we did get something of a flashback in the British Grand Prix.

Today’s F1 Top Favorites
1. Max Verstappen | 255 points
2. Lando Norris | 171 points
3. Lewis Hamilton | 110 points
4. George Russell | 111 points

My 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix Analysis

It was Lewis Hamilton coming away with the win in that one, holding off Max Verstappen to nab his first victory in quite some time.

In reality, the result was probably nothing more than a one-off, but it sure was fun to watch two of the best modern drivers go head-to-head once again.

We now have to look forward to the next race on the schedule, which is the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Will normal service resume, or will we see another surprise winner emerge? Let’s take a look at the latest F1 odds.

Max Verstappen F1 Betting Line -111

We are witnessing something a little different over the last couple of weeks, with Verstappen now failing to win each of the last 2 races.

You have to go back to the midway point of the 2022 season to find the last time he went that long without a win, so it’s tough to imagine that his winless streak will continue this weekend, although stranger things have happened.

It is all the more difficult to consider that Verstappen will fail to win again when you see that he has won this race in each of the last two seasons.

He will be looking for the three-peat on Sunday, and I certainly think Verstappen will make it happen.

Lando Norris F1 Betting Line +310

It’s beginning to look as though this is going to be a breakout year for Norris, who recently won his first race as an F1 driver in Miami.

Over the last 8 races, Norris has been on the podium 6 times, just missing out on a 7th podium finish with a 4th place run in Monaco.

All of this has him sitting in 2nd overall, but with an 84-point gap between himself and Verstappen, it still feels as though this is as high as he is going to go in the standings this year.

Still, that would be a massive step forward for the British driver. I think there is a very good chance that he is on the podium again this weekend, given that he finished 2nd in this race last year.

Lewis Hamilton F1 Betting Line +700

It was an emotional Hamilton who spoke to the media after his win in the British Grand Prix last week.

He mentioned that he was beginning to feel as though he would never win again, so you now have to wonder what that victory will do for his confidence.

The bookies seem to think it could mean another podium finish this weekend. Hamilton has been 2nd in 2 of the last 3 runs in Hungary, so a top 3 bet might not be a terrible bet.

George Russell F1 Betting Line +700

You also have to look at Russell, who will be looking to bounce back after failing to finish in Britain.

He won the race prior to that one and does have a podium finish in Hungary to his name, so he could be battling his British counterparts for the podium.
