Best Bets for Clean Harbors 250: Odds, Lines, and Predictions

In terms of the regular season and making the playoffs in the Truck Series, it all comes down to one final race.

This weekend is the final regular season race of the year, with the top 10 drivers moving on to the playoffs and a shot at ending the season as the Truck Series champion.

Clean Harbors 250 Favorites
1. Christian Eckes | 673 points
2. Corey Heim | 623 points
3. Ty Majeski | 538 points
4. Nicholas Sanchez | 537 points

My Analysis

For the most part, the top 10 looks to be set in stone, save perhaps for that final spot, so it’s all about jockeying for position now.

There is also the question of the regular season championship to be decided, although that too looks to be a total lock.

We will get all the answers on Saturday night once we get through with the running of the Clean Harbors 250 in Richmond. Let’s take a look at a few of the major players.

Christian Eckes

It looks certain that Eckes is going to end the regular season at the top of the driver standings, given that he has a 50-point lead heading into the final race.

While that is certainly a nice accomplishment, you can bet that Eckes is looking for more. He has made it to the playoffs in each of the last 2 seasons, but he has not made it to the final four for a shot at the championship.

He certainly seems to be hitting great form at the right time, coming into this race having landed on the podium in 4 straight races.

Furthermore, he has had zero success on this track, but his current form suggests that a win might be a good bet.

Corey Heim

He is having a great season to this point, winning 5 races, 3 of which have come in the last 6 races.

He heads to Richmond looking to improve on his last 2 runs on this track, where he finished 5th and 6th, respectively. A top 5 finish looks guaranteed here.

Ty Majeski

Majeski will be heading to the playoffs for the third straight season, but will he be able to finally win the championship?

He will almost certainly be there or thereabouts, but his inability to win on a regular basis could well prove to be a problem.

Nicholas Sanchez

Sanchez had a very solid debut season in the Truck Series, making it to the playoffs before settling for 6th overall.

He did not manage to pick up a win in his inaugural season, but he quickly rectified that by winning the opening race of this season in Daytona.

He has won 1 more race since then and has done enough to stay in the #4 spot in the driver standings.

As for this weekend, I think that a top 5 finish might be the best we can expect.
