The end of the regular season in the Xfinity Series is now very much in sight, with just 8 races remaining before the field is cut to 12 drivers.
That is still plenty of time for the standings to change, but for the guys sitting down near the cut line, the pressure is beginning to mount.

My NASCAR Xfinity Series Analysis
We are heading into the final few weeks of the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season, with the battle for playoff spots probably set to go all the way down to the wire.
While we are in the homestretch of the regular season, there is still time for drivers below the cut line to make a late charge, as there are still 8 races to come.
This weekend, the Xfinity Series will be in Indianapolis for the next race on the schedule, which is the Pennzoil 250.
This is going to be something a little different given that the last few years have been on the road course, but this one will be on the more traditional NASCAR track.
The bookies have their ideas as to who might win, so let’s look at the current Xfinity Series odds for this race.
^Austin Hill Xfinity Series Pick +275
It has been a strange kind of season for Hill, who very much looked like the man to beat right out of the gate.
He won the opening 2 races of the season, but he has yet to win another one since that hot start.
While he hasn’t won for a while, Hill has very much been in the mix, finishing in the top 5 no less than 8 times this season.
He is currently on a run of 2 straight races finishing in the top 10, but you have to go back a bit to find the last time he cracked the top 3.
It has been 8 races since he last cracked the top 3, so I’m not totally sold on him here.
^Jesse Love Xfinity Series Pick +780
This is the first full season in the Xfinity Series for Love, and as you might expect, he has had some highs and lows.
It took him some time to get going, but once he did, Love got on a hot streak, finishing in the top 10 in 6 straight races, including picking up his first career win at this level at Talladega.
He has struggled to reach that same level of consistency since, but he has been decent of late, landing in the top 5 in 2 of the last 3 races.
It’s tough to know what he will do on this track, but I might be willing to risk a top 5 finish.
^Cole Custer Xfinity Series Pick +680
Custer came into this season as the defending Xfinity Series champion, and while he has been at or near the top of the standings all season long, he finally picked up his first win of the year last weekend at Pocono.
The advantage that Custer might have in this race is that he has had a run on this track during his time with the Cup Series.
He finished 5th in that race, so you figure that experience might well translate to another win this weekend.
I would be more than willing to play him to win at these odds.
^Justin Allgaier Xfinity Series Pick +660
Allgaier is always a good pick to finish up among the leaders in any given race, but he is not such a great pick when it comes to betting on an outright winner.
Justin is sitting second overall in the driver standings, but he only has 1 win this season.
He did go on a hot run around this time last year, winning 3 races late in the season, but I still think the safer bet is to take him to finish in the top 3.
