The end of the regular season in the Xfinity Series is now very much in sight, with just 8 races remaining before the field is cut to 12 drivers.
That is still plenty of time for the standings to change, but for the guys sitting down near the cut line, the pressure is beginning to mount.

My NASCAR Xfinity Series Analysis
They will all get a shot at picking up some more valuable points this weekend when the Xfinity Series takes to the Pocono track for the running of the Pocono Mountains 225.
The Xfinity odds for this race have been released by MyBookie Sportsbook and there are some very familiar names at the top of the bookies board.
Let’s take a quick look at some of the guys who should be in the hunt and where they might finish.
^William Byron Xfinity Series Pick +360
Whenever you get a driver dropping in from the Cup Series, it always has an impact on the overall odds.
Byron is going to take a run on the Pocono track on Saturday before going at it again on Sunday in the Cup Series.
William is having a very good season up among the big boys in NASCAR, but will that translate to a win in the Xfinity Series on Saturday?
While he will certainly get a lot of the betting money, it is worth noting that he has raced at this level twice already this season, failing to crack the top 10 in both races, so he may not be a slam dunk.
^Justin Allgaier Xfinity Series Pick +460
When you look back at how consistently good Allgaier has been in his time with the Xfinity Series, it is probably surprising to see that he doesn’t necessarily win a lot of races.
4 wins in a single season is his personal best, so it is perhaps not that surprising that he only has 1 win this year.
This is a driver that is always one to look at for a top 3 or top 5 finish, though, as he has made a habit of being up among the leaders.
Given his previous runs on this track, I’m not so sure that a top 3 is the way to go, but I certainly see him in the top 10.
^Custer Cole Xfinity Series Pick +550
When you get to the playoffs, wins become a good deal more important than they are in the regular season.
The reality, though, is that you can be high in the driver standings in the regular season without winning, with Cole Custer being the perfect example.
He is sitting in the #1 spot this season, despite still looking for his first victory of the year.
The defending champion had 2 wins by this stage of the proceedings last season, so while he is at the top, he is off the pace.
With that in mind, a top 10 finish looks most likely for Custer.
^Sam Mayer Xfinity Series Pick +660
Okay, so I have to make a pick to win this race on Saturday, which is never an easy thing to do, but I am going with Mayer.
He has not been in the best of form over the last 3 races, cracking the top 10 just once, and only by the skin of his teeth.
Sam has proven that he can win, though, with a pair of checkered flags to his name this season.
When you consider that he finished 2nd on this track last season, I think this might be where he snaps out of his slump.
