Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat

After the Heat dominated the Hawks in a 110-86 win on Sunday night, as the Heat take a 3-1 lead back home for a Game 5 matchup on Tuesday night. Sparked by a 26-4 run in the second quarter, the Heat took a big lead into halftime and never looked back. Credit to Miami’s defense, as Atlanta, shot just 5-22 from the field in that second quarter.

Speaking of Miami’s defense, it once again silenced Trae Young. Young could only muster nine points on 3-11 shooting in this one. He also had five turnovers. The Heat has done a solid job of limiting Young’s scoring throughout this series, and that has been a huge key to their success.

Another key factor is how well Jimmy Butler has played throughout the series. Butler put up 36 points with 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals in Game 4. Butler is looking like the player that led the Heat to the Finals when they were in the bubble two years ago.

We also have to remember that Miami won Game 4 without Kyle Lowry who was out with an injury. Victor Oladipo finally made his way onto the floor and had some good moments. All five of Miami’s starters scored in double figures, and Tyler Herro played well off the bench.

If Atlanta can’t get Young going in Game 5, that will be all she wrote for the Hawks season.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Memphis Grizzlies

It was quite the scene in Minneapolis in Game 4. With the Grizzlies finding themselves in foul trouble early on, they had to play 12 players in the first quarter. Karl Anthony Towns found himself living at the free-throw line as he led the Wolves to a Game 4 victory, evening the series at two games apiece.

They’ll head back to Memphis for Game 5 on Tuesday night. Memphis is hoping that Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. play better than they have throughout the series. Minnesota has been physical with Morant, and hasn’t allowed him to get to the rim as much as he’s used to. Jackson has struggled on both ends of the floor.

Memphis can’t afford to head back to Minnesota down 3-2, so this one will be huge for them. We’ll see if they step things up, or if they let the Timberwolves dictate how the game is played.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns

Oh, how one injury has totally changed a series. The Phoenix Suns coasted through the regular season and were heavily favored over the New Orleans Pelicans. After Devin Booker went down in Game 1 with a hamstring injury, the dynamic of the series changed drastically.

After four games, the series is now tied at two games apiece. New Orleans defended their home floor with a 118-103 victory in Game 4. Jonas Valanciunas led the way for the Pelicans with 26 points. Herb Jones was dominant on the defensive end for New Orleans.

We’ll see if getting back to Phoenix can help light a fire under the Suns, or will we see the series head one step closer to one of the biggest playoff upsets in league history?
