The Best NCAA Basketball Bets For This Week

It’s here! It’s finally here! The best sports season on the calendar is upon us as college basketball is live.

Today, we are going to take a look at the best betting opportunities for Tuesday, November 8th.

NCAAB Betting Tip Of The Week

Coppin State Eagles at Georgetown Hoyas

This game is a little bit tricky as neither team is exactly good. The Hoyas are coming off a winless season in league play and finished 0-19 against the Big East. The Eagles won just nine games last season and only one outside of the MEAC.

Georgetown lost four of their five starts, their top three rebounders, and three of their top four scorers. The Hoyas did hit the transfer market hard in the offseason and reeled in big men Akok Akok (UConn) and Qudus Wahab (Maryland).

Wahab returns to campus after a season in College Park, MD, and will look to replicate the 2020-21 season when he averaged roughly 13 points and eight rebounds for the Hoyas.

Jay Heath also joined the program after stops at Boston College and Arizona State. The fourth-year guard has averaged double-figure points in each of his three seasons at the division one level and should provide Ewing with stability and scoring in the backcourt.

There are two very interesting trends in this matchup. Since Juan Dixon took over Coppin State in 2017, the Eagles are 43-30-2 against the spread as a road underdog.

During that same time period, the Hoyas are just 22-30-1 as the home favorite. The Hoyas have the talent, but the Eagles may be the sharp side.

Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at Oregon State Beavers

This is another interesting game and the first game of Tuesday, as it kicks off at 12:00 AM. The Golden Hurricanes have moved on from Frank Haith after eight seasons and brought in Erik Konkol, who didn’t do much other than win basketball games at Louisiana Tech.

Konkol is unlikely to find immediate success in Tulsa, but he does have a nice guard in Sam Griffin, that could make the transition a little easier. Griffin averaged 14.6 points per game last season and shoots nearly 36% from behind the arc for his career.

Oregon State is coming off of a dismal season during which the Beavers only saw three victories and a 1-19 record in Pac-12 play.

The offseason was not exactly kind to coach Wayne Tinkle either, as the team lost their four leading scorers. With no big-name players coming into the program, it looks as if it will be another long season in Corvallis.

During Konkol’s time at Louisiana Tech, he was the coach in the conference against the spread, covering nearly 54% of the time. In true road games, his teams covered 46.6% of the time.

Oregon State has been spectacularly mediocre against the number under Tinkle. As the home favorite, he does have an average margin of victory of +9.0 points per game while covering the spread 50.7% of the time.
