NCAAF 2021 Season Conference Championship SU Betting Picks & Analysis

NCAAF 2021 Season Conference Championship SU Betting Picks & Analysis

There is perhaps nothing worse than having a season that takes you to a championship game, only to see all your good work undone by losing in the big game. That, though, is what is going to happen this weekend, as the NCAA has the Conference Championship Games all lined up and ready to go. While all these games are important to the teams involved, the reality is that some are bigger than others. We have a few teams who will see their playoff hopes live or die based on how things play out this weekend. The pressure that is on the teams who know they still have a shot at becoming the National Champion is huge, but this is the type of pressure upon which great teams thrive. We are not going to cover all the games here, but we are going to make a trio of SU picks that we like this weekend so you can place your bets against their College Football Odds.

College Football SU Betting Picks for Conference Championship Week

Georgia Bulldogs over Alabama Crimson Tide

Earlier this season, when the Texas A&M Aggies took out the Alabama Crimson Tide, it was the first time that we saw a former assistant coach of Nick Saban beat their former boss. Prior to that win, the only coach who had come close to making it happen was Kirby Smart, but his Georgia Bulldogs always seemed to find a way to lose to an Alabama team that they had on the topes. Might this finally be the time when Smart gets that win over his old boss? The bookies seem to think so, as they have the Dawgs in as a 7-point favorite in the SEC Championship Game. The Bulldogs are 12-0 and will likely make the playoffs even if they lose, but this feels like a team with bigger fish to fry. Covering doesn’t matter to the Bulldogs this weekend, so let’s take them to get the win and keep their unbeaten streak alive.

Cincinnati Bearcats over Houston Cougars

For the first couple of rankings put out by the Playoff Committee, it looked as though they were committed to keeping the Cincinnati Bearcats out of the top 4. With the top teams losing while Cincinnati continued to win, it became impossible to deny them again. The Bearcats are in right now, but they really need to beat Houston in the AAC Conference Game to have a shot at staying there. While they are in as a pretty comfortable favorite over the Cougars, we should probably not be totally writing off an 11-1 Houston team. This, though, is a matchup that Cincy has dominated in the past, winning 7 of the last 10 meetings. The Bearcats will be determined to become the first non-Power 5 team to make the playoffs, so look for them to come out with all guns blazing.

Michigan Wolverines over Iowa Hawkeyes

The race to be in the Big Ten Championship Game was one that went all the way down to the wire. The Iowa Hawkeyes looked dead and buried after losing back-to-back games a month or so ago, but they rallied to win the final 4 games of the season and win the West Division. It was much the same story for Michigan, who looked to be in trouble after losing to Michigan State. The Spartans stumbled after that win, opening the door for the Wolverines, who won out, including a huge win over Ohio State, to win the East Division on the final day of the season. Michigan has it all to play for this weekend, as a win might get them into the playoffs. That carrot should be enough to have them ready to play and win.
