The Pac-12 hasn’t had a team reach the College Football Playoff since 2016, and with Oregon being knocked off in Week 12 it won’t have one in the playoff this season, either. Here’s a look at two Week 13 games that we would parlay together on the College Football odds.

NCAAF 2021 Matches To Must Wager Week 13

#12 Ole Miss at #25 Mississippi State (-1)

It’s the annual Egg Bowl and played on Thanksgiving night as both clubs look to improve their bowl stock. It’s the first Egg Bowl in Starkville since the notorious Elijah Moore unsportsmanlike penalty game two years ago when that penalty pushed back a PAT that failed in the final seconds and led to Ole Miss’ loss.

Ole Miss (9-2) comes off a 31-17 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday in the Rebs’ home finale. QB and Heisman candidate Matt Corral completed 27 of 36 passes for 326 yards and threw two touchdown passes in his final game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebs finished 7-0 at home. It marks the first time in program history that the Rebels have won seven on-campus games within the same season.

In total, Ole Miss had 470 yards of total offense. Jahcour Pearson led the Rebels with 101 yards on four catches, while Dontario Drummond and Jerrion Ealy each had a touchdown catch. Corral has thrown a touchdown pass in 22 of his last 23 games. He ranks No. 3 in career passing yards with 8,038 yards and is only the third Ole Miss QB to surpass 8,000 yards. Corral has thrown 56 career passing TDs, No. 3 in program history. Corral is now No. 3 in Ole Miss career record book in completions (585). He is just the fifth Rebel QB to surpass 500 career completions.

The Bulldogs are 7-4. They’ve won four of their last five. Over that stretch, they’re scoring 40.4 points per game. Quarterback Will Rogers has thrown for 1,951 yards and 20 touchdowns in that span, more touchdowns than Corral has thrown all season.

MSU trounced Tennessee State 55-10 on Saturday. Rogers set a new MSU single-season record for passing yardage. The sophomore signal caller threw for 391 yards, pushing him to 4,113 for the year. Rogers surpassed Dak Prescott’s previous single-season high of 3,793 yards. Rogers also set a new single-season record for touchdown passes. He threw five of them on Saturday, giving him 34 in 2021. Three of Rogers’ scoring tosses went to receiver Austin Williams, who finished with 75 receiving yards and his three touchdown catches tied a single-game State record.

Last year, Ole Miss won the Egg Bowl 31-24. Corral was 24 of 36 passing for 385 yards with touchdowns of 81 yards to Braylon Sanders and 48 yards to Dontario Drummond as Ole Miss built a 21-7 second quarter lead and never trailed. Snoop Conner and Jerrion Ealy added touchdown runs of 1 and 8 yards, respectively.

Boise State at #19 San Diego State (+2.5)

Noon kickoff on Friday. This could be a preview of the Mountain West title game – the Aztecs will win the West Division with a victory. Boise State is tied for first in the Mountain Division with Utah State and Air Force.

The Broncos (7-4) beat New Mexico 37-0 on Saturday. Khalil Shakir rolled up 192 all-purpose yards, George Holani rushed for 114 yards, and Boise State returned two blocked punts for touchdowns. New Mexico could only muster 101 yards of total offense in suffering its second shutout of the season. Boise State did not give up a touchdown in the second half for the sixth time this season, best nationally.

Sophomore Jonah Dalmas, a Lou Groza Award semifinalist, finished the game going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts. His 17 straight makes is the longest-active streak nationally. His 25 field goals this season tied Tyler Rausa (2015) for most in school history and is tied for second in Mountain West history.

San Diego State (10-1) beat UNLV 28-20 last Friday. Lucas Johnson completed 18 of 24 pass attempts for 192 yards and threw three touchdowns. The Aztecs led just 21-20 before Johnson found Jesse Matthews for a 7-yard strike with 3:33 left in the game. Matthews finished with nine receptions for 75 yards and had three touchdowns, becoming the first San Diego State player to score three TDs in one game since Colin Lockett’s trio in the 2011 New Orleans Bowl.

San Diego State scored its ninth non-offensive touchdown since 2020 with Andrew Aleki’s interception return. The nine non-offensive scores are tied for third in FBS play over that span. San Diego State improved to 6-0 this season in games decided by one score or less. That is the best record in the country (2nd: Oklahoma 5-0).

San Diego State’s 10-1 record matched its best 11-game start since starting 11-0 in 1969. San Diego State reached double-digits in victories for the fifth time in the last seven seasons (and fifth time in the last six seasons it played at least 10 games). The Aztecs finished 11-3 in 2015, 11-3 in 2016, 10-3 in 2017, 10-3 in 2019 and are now 10-1 in 2021.

SDSU is one of only seven schools who currently have had at least five double-digit winning seasons over its last seven years (also Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma).
