Best NFL Week 7 Games to Bet On, Analysis and Picks

We are now 6 weeks into the new NFL season, and we are beginning to see the true contenders rise, while a couple of teams that we liked prior to the start of the season are not really delivering the goods.

It is worth noting that we are still just one-third of the way through the season, so there is still time for things to change.

My NFL Betting Analysis in Week 7

That said, there are a few teams that look to be well off the pace and who are likely to be eliminated from playoff contention sooner rather than later.

Other than those really poor teams, things look pretty tight, which suggests that we are going to have a very good playoff battle to look forward to all the way to the end of the season.

As always, we are taking things one week at a time, which means that it’s time to look ahead to Week 7 and the matchups that are jumping off the schedule.

TNF Denver Broncos -130 at New Orleans Saints +106

I will be the first to admit that this is certainly not the best matchup on the Week 7 schedule, but, for me, the Thursday night game is always a must bet given that it is the only one on the schedule.

The Broncos got out to the worst start possible, losing their opening 2 games of the year, but they rebounded nicely to win 3 in a row.

That run came to an end with a loss to the Chargers in their last outing. The Saints were on the flipside of that, storming out the gate with 2 brilliant performances to start the season at 2-0.

The wheels have come off quickly, losing QB David Carr to injury and losing 4 in a row.

With the Falcons and Bucs looking good, the Saints need a win to avoid falling really far off the pace being set in the South.

Houston Texans +120 at Green Bay Packers -148

Last season, the Texans took a major step forward with a rookie QB leading the charge.

This team came into the new season with high expectations, and to this point, they are living up to all of them.

CJ Stroud actually looks even better in his sophomore season, with the Texans now sitting at 5-1 and winning 3 in a row to take a strong lead in the South.

The NFC North looks strong this season, and while the Packers are a very decent 4-2 through the opening 6 games of the season, that record is only good enough for 3rd in the division.

Both of these teams appear to be getting stronger with each passing week, which makes this a fantastic matchup.

Detroit Lions +111 at Minnesota Vikings -136

Divisional matchups are always fun to watch, but especially when you have a pair of teams who could legitimately be heading to the Super Bowl this season.

Yes, it’s still very early in the year, but these two teams are a combined 9-1 heading into Week 6.

The Vikings are sitting at 5-0 and are coming off a bye week after winning in London the week prior.

That was probably their poorest performance of the year, but I’m willing to excuse it given the trip, which is always tricky.

The Lions are 4-1 and are coming off of a dominating performance against the Cowboys, but that came with something of a loss, with Aidan Hutchinson out for the year after breaking a leg.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Lions deal with that blow.

Kansas City Chiefs -106 at San Francisco 49ers -115

These two teams delivered a fantastic Super Bowl to close out last season, so it is going to be fun to see them lock horns once again, with the 49ers out for revenge after their loss in the big game.

It has not been the most comfortable start to the season for the 49ers, who are currently at 3-3, but they are still sitting atop the NFC West after a very good performance against the Seahawks in Week 6.

They are going to need to be that good again if they are to get past the Chiefs this weekend.

Kansas City came into this season with their eyes on an unprecedented three-peat, and while they have been far from perfect, they headed into their bye week with 5-0 record.

There are some who believe that these two could meet in the Super Bowl again this season, so might this be a preview of things to come?

SNF New York Jets -119 at Pittsburgh Steelers -103

I think it’s more than fair to suggest that things are not going to plan in the Big Apple.

The New York Jets became the first team to fire their coach this season, relieving Robert Saleh of his duties after a loss in Week 5.

Rather than getting the bump that often comes with the removal of the head coach, the Jets fell to another loss on Monday night, going down to the Buffalo Bills in an important divisional game.

On the flipside, the Steelers might be performing better than most people expected, coming into this weekend with a 4-2 record, which has them tied with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.

They are riding a high after a dominant win over the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend and will like their chances at home in this one.

MNF Baltimore Ravens -192 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers +155

The Monday night game is a great one, as we have a pair of teams that are fun to watch going head-to-head.

The Ravens got out to the worst possible start, losing their opening two games of the season, but they have since come back strong, reeling off 4 straight wins to get to 4-2 and the lead in the AFC North.

The Buccaneers are also at 4-2 this season and are tied for the highest scoring team in the lead with 178 points, although the Ravens are right on their heels with 177 points.

All of that suggests that we might be in for some offensive fireworks on Monday night.
