While Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans entered the 2018 regular season as one of the top odds on favorites to win the AFC this season, the AFC Super Bowl hopefuls have struggled through two games. While Eli Manning and the New York Giants have also dropped both of their first two regular season contests, they’ve got a lot more leeway, seeing as how they went 3-13 last season and are in the beginning stages of a massive rebuild under first-year head coach Pat Shurmur.
With both teams desperate for a win in NFL Week 3, let’s find out which one is offering the best betting value.

Why Bet On The New York Giants?
Why should you bet on the Giants in this contest? Because the G-Men put up a really good effort in their Week 1 loss against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that has some legitimate Super bowl hopes and that says they can basically play with anyone. Unfortunately, the Giants didn’t follow that up with another strong outing in their humbling 20-13 Week 2 loss against what I believe is a mediocre Dallas Cowboys team.
Eli Manning passed for 279 yards and one touchdown, but he was sacked six times and gifted rookie running back Saquon Barkley was held to just 28 rushing yards on 11 carries in the loss although he also set a franchise record with a whopping 14 catches in the defeat.
“Eli’s confident,” coach Pat Shurmur said. “He’s a pro and he battled throughout the game and I thought he did a good job. I sense confidence, yes.”

Why Bet On The Houston Texans?

Why should you bet on the Texans in Week 3? There are a handful of great reasons to back the Texans, starting with the fact that they are playing at home. Houston is also the better team on both sides of the ball and they have a ton of motivation.
The Texans put up a good effort in their 27-20 Week 1 road loss at New England, but got humbled by a mediocre Tennessee Titans team 20-17 on Sunday. Deshaun Watson continued to work his way back from his season-ending ACL tear midway through last season by going 22 of 32 for 310 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Giants vs Texans
If you’ve watched the Giants in their first two games, then you probably know that the G-Men seemingly have only two plays. Either get the ball to Saquon Barkley or Odell Beckham Jr. unfortunately for them, that tactic is just not going to work against a Houston team with a ton of talent on that side of the ball.
The Giants are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games in the month of September. I know the Texans have gone a pitiful 0-7 ATS in their last seven games, but I’m backing Houston to snap that skid and you should too!
