The Carolina Panthers will look to keep their narrow playoff hopes alive while the Seattle Seahawks look to bounce back from their humbling Week 12 loss when the two NFC playoff hopefuls square off in an intriguing Week 13 matchup that will likely have postseason implications for both teams.

Why Bet on the Carolina Panthers?
The Panthers fell apart late and lost what appeared to be a sure win in their heartbreaking 35-32 loss to the Oakland Raiders last weekend. Cam Newton and company charged back from a 24-7 halftime deficit to take a 32-24 lead in the 4th final frame before allowing Derek Carr to lead the Raiders to 11 consecutive points for the win. Cam Newton completed an uninspiring14 of 29 pass attempts for 246 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while veteran running back Jonathan Stewart rushed for a team-high 96 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Carolina is averaging 25.0 points per game to rank a respectable 10th in scoring but are giving up an uncharacteristic 25.5 points per game defensively to rank 24th in points allowed. Why Bet on the Seattle Seahawks?
The Seahawks looked completely awful offensively in their humbling 14-5 loss to Tampa Bay last weekend while never coming close to covering the spread as a 5-point favorite. Russell Wilson completed 17 of 33 passes for a uninspiring 151 yards while tossing two interceptions in the loss but rushed for a team-high 80 yards on eight carries while veteran tight end Jimmy Graham led the Seahawks with 67 receiving yards. Seattle is averaging an underwhelming 20.3 points per game to rank 23rd in scoring but limit the opposition to just 17.0 points per game defensively to rank first in points allowed.Expert Prediction and Final Score Pick
Carolina is just 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games against their NFC counterparts. Conversely, Seattle is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 week 13 contests and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record. The Seahawks are my pick to win and narrowly cover the NFL betting line, if only because I have no confidence whatsoever in the Panthers. Carolina would like to keep their playoff hopes alive and I believe they’re going to come out with a great effort, but in the end, I like Seattle to get it done. My final Score Prediction is Seattle 28 Carolina 20MyBookie NFL
