NFL Week 6 Betting Lines: Pittsburgh Steelers as 3-point road favorite against Las Vegas Raiders

The NFL season is, in the grand scheme of things, long and tiring, and every single team is going to go through periods of highs and lows.

The key for them all is to try and keep the lows to a minimum, as that offers up the best chance for teams to make their way to the playoffs.

My NFL Betting Analysis in the Week 6

Given how the season is going to this point, playoff battles, particularly for the Wild Card spots, are going to go all the way down to the wire.

Every matchup on the schedule is huge, especially at this early stage of the season.

A win now can set a team on the winning path that leads to the playoffs, so that is what the Steelers and Raiders will be hoping for this weekend.

Pittsburgh is a 3-point road favorite, with the total for this one set at 36 ½.

Given that the Steelers totally cleaned house in the QB room, no one really knew what to expect from them this season.

Russell Wilson was supposed to get the start, but a niggling injury meant that Justin Fields became QB 1.

He helped lead the Steelers to a perfect 3-0 start, but the wheels have come off in the last couple of weeks, with Pittsburgh losing back-to-back games, including a heartbreaking Sunday night loss to the Cowboys last weekend.

The Steelers are now 6-3 SU in their last 9 games, plus they have won 2 of their 3 road games already this season.

They have not been great against the spread versus Vegas, going just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 meetings.

The UNDER has hit in each of their last 5 games played in the month of October.

Las Vegas Raiders Odds -139

When you see a team having problems, there are several factors that are generally at the root of the problem.

At the top of the list is very often the play of the starting QB, which is just one of the reasons why the Raiders are coming into Week 6 with a 2-3 record.

They made the decision to bench Gardner Minshew in favor of Aiden O’Connell for this game, but there are still questions as to whether this will have any impact, especially with Davante Adams already set to miss this game due to injury.

Week 6 has not been kind to the Raiders over the years, as they are just 4-14 SU in their last 18 games played in Week 6.

They have been a good bet against the spread, though, especially at home, where they are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games.

In terms of the point total, the Raiders have seen 7 of their last 8 versus the AFC North go UNDER the point total.

Steelers vs Raiders Betting Prediction in NFL Week 6

The Steelers defense has been a nightmare for opposing QBs all season long, which is not good news for a Raiders team that is having QB issues.

I think that D will wreak havoc and help the Steelers get the win.

Pittsburgh Steelers 21, Las Vegas Raiders 10
