Prior to the start of every NFL season, we all make predictions about how things might play out, which includes adding a surprise team or two into the mix. The teams that have emerged from out of nowhere this season are teams that very few people picked as potential dark horses. The NFL Week 15 favorite New Orleans Saints have always been fun to watch, but in recent years they have been a team that has relied a little too heavily on the exploits of Drew Brees, mostly because they had no running game or defense to speak of.
The expectation was that we would see more of the same this season, but the Saints have emerged as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and they can take one step closer to a division crown with a win over the New York Jets this coming Sunday. The Jets have been better than most people thought they would be this season, but realistically, they are a real longshot to get anything out of this one. The Saints are in as a 16-point home favorite, with the point total for this one set at 47 ½.
They lost on the road to a very good Rams team in Week13, and then almost put together a winning drive in the final seconds last week versus Atlanta, with a pick in the end zone the only thing stopping them from getting out of the ATL with a win. The Saints are still in control of their own destiny, thanks in large part to a superior record against their division rivals. The Saints are 5-1 at home this season. But just 3-3 ATS in those 6 games.

Why bet on the New York Jets?
For many teams, a 5-8 record would be a sign of a disappointing season, but not so for the Jets. Sure, they are not going to be delighted about being 3 games under .500 at this late stage of the season, but let’s not forget that a lot of people were picking this team to go winless in 2017. The Jets do appear to be running out of steam, though, as they are now just 2-6 in their last 8 games. While they were blanked by the Broncos last weekend, the Jets have still had some success on offense this season, averaging 20 PPG, which is probably about double the number that we were expecting from them. Since they were expected to struggle offensively this season, the point total in their games has been kept quite low, and they have gone OVER in 5 of their last 7 games. The road had not been kind to the Jets, as they are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 away from home. They are also just 2-5 SU in their last 7 meetings with the Saints.Team Statistics

Why bet on the New Orleans Saints?
Is there a reason for New Orleans fans to be a little concerned? After going through an 8-game winning streak, the Saints have now lost 2 of their last 3, including a crucial divisional loss to the Atlanta Falcons last weekend. I believe that the rumors of this team’s demise are a little premature.

Expert NFL Week 15 Betting Pick & Score Prediction
This should almost certainly be a win for the Saints, but will they be able to cover that sizeable spread. I think they will, but I also believe that this one will fall just UNDER the point total. Score: New York Jets 13 – New Orleans Saints 33MyBookie NFL
