NFL Week 2 Must-Bet Games: Expert Analysis and Odds

NFL Week 2 Must-Bet Games: Expert Analysis and Odds

To say that Week 1 of the new NFL season was wild is perhaps putting things a little mildly.

We had the Patriots springing a massive upset with a road win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Super Bowl champs opening with a thrilling win in the season opener, and a starting QB going down with an injury that might keep him out for a month or more.

My NFL Betting Analysis

Of course, one week does not make a season, so there is certainly plenty of time for things to course correct and for those that lost to get back on track.

We are already looking ahead to Week 2 of the season, looking for the games that jump off the page when scouring the schedule.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some games we consider to be of the must bet variety.

Buffalo Bills +107 at Miami Dolphins -127 TNF

When: Thursday, September 12, 8:15 PM, Prime Video
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL

The first 2 Thursday night games of the season are the definition of primetime.

We had the Chiefs and Ravens battling it out in Week 1, and this Thursday we have an awesome divisional battle, with the Bills hitting the road to face the Dolphins.

Buffalo had to come from behind to pick up a shootout win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, while the Dolphins very much looked like one of the elite teams in the league with their Week 1 win.

The Dolphins are a modest 1 ½ point favorite, with the total set at 49.

New Orleans Saints +226 at Dallas Cowboys -290

When: Sunday, September 15, 1:00 PM, FOX
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX

This is going to be interesting to watch, if only to figure out if the New Orleans Saints are as good as they looked in Week 1, where they absolutely destroyed the Carolina Panthers.

To be fair, we all expected the Panthers to be pretty bad this season, so this will certainly be more of a measuring stick for the Saints.

The Cowboys signed Dak Prescott to a massive extension prior to their Week 1 game and were rewarded with a big victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Dallas is a 6 ½ point home favorite, with the total set at 46.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +246 at Detroit Lions -319

When: Sunday, September 15, 1:00 PM, FOX
Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI

It was always going to be tough for the Buccaneers to replace Tom Brady, but you have to say that Baker Mayfield is settling in nicely and was one of the better QBs in Week 1.

He led the Bucs to an impressive 37-20 win over the Washington Commanders, but this is going to be a much tougher test.

A lot of people are looking at the Lions as potential champions this season, and they showed some grit in Week 1 with an OT win over the LA Rams.

The Lions are favored by 7 points, with the total set at 51.

Cincinnati Bengals +198 at Kansas City Chiefs -250

When: Sunday, September 15, 4:25 PM, CBS
Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO

This is one that jumped off the page when the schedule was first released, but you have to wonder if it looks glamorous after Week 1.

The Bengals did not look very good in a loss to the Patriots, but we are still waiting to see if this is a sign of things to come or just a single game anomaly.

It certainly doesn’t get any easier for the Bengals, as they have to go on the road to face a Chiefs team that looked explosively good against the Ravens.

The Chiefs are favored by 6, with the total set at 48 ½.
