It was rebuilding time. But it didn’t take long for LAR to go right back to being one of the top teams in the NFL.

Two fifth-round draft choices, Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua, spearhead one of the league’s top offenses. The defense began to hit it’s stride in the second half of the season. In every game in the second half, the Rams played well, including pushing the Super Bowl favorite Baltimore Ravens into overtime.

Sean McVay knows how to win the big game. Expect the Rams to produce a gargantuan effort versus the Detroit Lions this weekend.

Cleveland Browns

Super Bowl Odds: +2800

In their first playoff game, fifth seed Cleveland heads to Houston to take on the AFC South champion Texans. Houston wanted to make the playoffs, and they did, but taking on the Browns in the first round is not ideal.

Cleveland’s offense has become elite now that Joe Flacco is throwing the rock like it’s 2013. Flacco and Amari Cooper have developed a great rapport. As good as the offense is, though, the defense is even better.

Myles Garrett leads one of the top three defenses in the NFL to the field. Not only that, but Cleveland beat the 49ers and Ravens this season.

Green Bay Packers

Super Bowl Odds: +10000

One only had to look at the scoreboard in the win versus the Chicago Bears to realize that Green Bay’s defense is back to playing great football. Facing a surging Bears’ offense, the Packers held Chicago to 9 points.

The knock against Green Bay down the stretch was that the defense couldn’t hang with good offenses. But the Vikings scored 10 in a Packers road game the week before the D stopped Justin Fields and the Bears.

Jordan Love and the offense are good. Aaron Jones is fresh because he didn’t play half the season. The Pack could roll into Dallas and upset the mighty Cowboys this weekend.

Miami Dolphins

Super Bowl Odds: +1400

Philadelphia didn’t make the list because the Eagles are a disaster. Philly finished the regular season losing 5-of-6 and Jalen Hurts is injured.

Pittsburgh isn’t on the list because T.J. Watt is questionable. If Watt isn’t one hundred percent, the Steelers don’t just lose to Buffalo, Allen and the Bills blowout Pittsburgh.

So what we’re left with are the Miami Dolphins. Sure, the only decent team the Dolphins beat this season were the Dallas Cowboys at home. But, hey, Miami made the playoffs and Tua to Tyreek could be a thing. Also, the Fins are at Kansas City and it’s not like KC played great ball down the stretch. Give the Dolphins a chance.
