Premier League Betting: Now that Liverpool has officially been crowned as the champions of England, you might imagine that the final weeks of the EPL season are going to be a little anti-climactic. While that is definitely the case in regards the title race, we still have all the European spots waiting to be decided.
When you consider that getting into the Champions League could mean in excess of $100 million for the clubs involved, you suddenly see why those places are like gold dust.
Premier League Betting Best Games on Matchday 35
With English teams performing so well in European competitions this season, it will be the top 5 who go to the Champions League, so those teams will be in the spotlight this week.
There are a couple of teams who still have a game in hand, which is why we are seeing the games start on Thursday this week.
We also have European games going this midweek, so it is going to be a busy few days for the teams still involved in both the domestic league and the European competitions.
Let’s now take a look at the best games on the schedule, with predictions for each.
^Nottingham Forest +112 vs Brentford +220 (Draw +248)
EPL Betting: Nottingham Forest 2-1 Brentford
When: Thursday, May 1, 2025, 2:30 PM
Forest are one of the teams that has a game in hand, and if they can come away with the win in this one, they are going to put their hopes of a spot in the champions league in their own hands.
Taking 3 points in this game would move Forest up to 3rd in the league for the time being, but this is not going to be an easy test for them.
Forest did snap out of a 2-game losing skid with a win in their last one, Brentford has slipped down the table in recent weeks and now find themselves down in 11th, but they have picked up points in 4 of their last 5 games, which includes an impressive 4-2 win over Brighton in their most recent game.
Forest won on the road to Brentford earlier this season, winning that one 2-0, so I like them to do the double at home.
^Aston Villa -135 vs Fulham +330 (Draw +280)
EPL Betting: Aston Villa 3-1 Fulham
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025, 7:30 AM
It has been a strange sort of season for Aston Villa, who are in real danger of coming away with nothing to show for their efforts despite some solid performances.
They made a deep run in the Champions League and have been in the battle for a top 5 place all season long.
They are currently sitting down in 7th, albeit only 3 points out of 5th, and will be looking to bounce back after losing 2-1 to Manchester City last weekend.
Fulham has also been hanging around near the European places this season, but 3 defeats in their last 5 games has made a top 5 or 6 finish seem pretty impossible at this point.
A win here could put them back in the conversation, but I am not sold on them getting the job done on the road.

Arsenal +105 vs Bournemouth +226 (Draw +250)
EPL Betting: Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025, 12:30 PM
With the league now decided and a top 5 spot seemingly all but locked up. Arsenal’s full focus is now on the Champions League, where they are in the semi-final against PSG.
They are coming off a midweek 1-0 loss in the opening leg of that matchup, and with Leg 2 coming next week in Paris, you do have to wonder if they will field a full squad in this game.
Arsenal is unbeaten in their last 5 in the league, so even if they go with a weakened lineup, they could still be good enough to get something out of this game at home.
Bournemouth is unbeaten in their last 4 games, but 3 of those ended in a tie, which has seen them slip further from the European places, with a mid-table finish now looking likely.
Bournemouth won the first meeting this season, but I like the Gunners at home.
^Chelsea +111 vs Liverpool +202 (Draw +265)
EPL Betting: Chelsea 2-2 Liverpool
When: Sunday, May 4, 2025, 11:30 AM
We jump ahead to Sunday for what is easily the biggest game of the weekend. With 4 wins and a draw in their last 5 games, Chelsea is in a run of form that has them in the top 5.
It is worth noting, though, that a midweek win for Nottingham Forest could see Chelsea drop out of the Champions League places, so they are going to want to get something from this one to keep their hopes alive and well.
You do have to wonder what the mindset is going to be for Liverpool now that they have the title all sewn up.
I think they are still going to want to finish the season strong, so I don’t see them taking their foot off the gas, especially for a game as big as this one.
Liverpool won the earlier meeting this season, with past matchups more often than not being decided by a single goal. I think we might well see a draw in this one.
^English Premier League Props and Future Bets
With just a few weeks remaining in the EPL season, the futures window in now very much closing.
The title has been won, so all the focus now is on deciding which teams will make it into the available European places.
One interesting prop that is still out there is for which team outside the big six will finish with the most points.
At this point, it looks like a 3-way race between Newcastle (-155), Nottingham Forest (-102), and Aston Villa (+1250). Villa seems like an outside shot at the moment, so take your pick between the other two.
With time very much running out, it does seem as though Mo Salah is going to win the Golden Boot, as he has a 6-goal lead over Alexander Isak.
One player prop that is still up for grabs is for the Golden Glove, which goes to the top goalkeeper in the league.
Matz Sels (-481) of Nottingham Forest looks to be a lock, but perhaps David Raya (+185) of Arsenal can beat him out in the final weeks.

English Premier League Games – Matchweek 35
Manchester City vs. West Ham United
Premier Odds: Manchester City -1.5 -155 vs. West Ham United +1.5 +121
When: Wednesday, May 3 at 3:00 pm ET | Matchweek 35
Where: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England
West Ham was in terrific form with a draw and 2 straight victories but on April 26, Liverpool beat the road team in this 2-1. Then in their last on April 29, Crystal Palace dusted West Ham 4-3.
Man City has won 4-of-5 with a draw. The draw came in the second leg of an aggregate against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena. The Sky Blues can easily cover the handicap and should after not covering against Fulham in their last.
EPL Pick: Manchester City -1.5 | Bet Brighton & Hove vs. Manchester United Today

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Manchester United
Premier Odds: Brighton & Hove Albion +114 vs. Manchester United +228
When: Thursday, May 4 at 3:00 pm ET | Matchweek 35
Where: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England
These two drew in an FA Cup Semifinal match in their last. United got the victory via penalty kicks. Man U is also in decent form with 2 wins and the FA Cup draw in their last 3.
Brighton has won 2 with 3 losses in their last 5. The home squad fell to Nottingham in the match right after the FA Cup loss. Brighton bounced back, though, with a massive 6-0 victory over Wolverhampton on April 29. The home squad exacts revenge.
EPL Pick: Brighton & Hove | Bet Brighton & Hove vs. Manchester United Today

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
Premier Odds: Tottenham Hotspur -132 vs Crystal Palace +350
When: Saturday, May 6 at 10:00 am ET | Matchweek 35
Where: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England
Tottenham isn’t playing well enough to justify a bet. The home team has a single victory in their last 5. The Hotspur drew twice and lost twice in their other 4 matches.
Crystal Palace has won 3 with a draw and a loss in their last 5. Palace beat West Ham 4-3 in their last. Tottenham dominated the last head-to-head. However, the Hotspur just aren’t playing well. A draw seems probable.
EPL Pick: Draw | Bet Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Today

Liverpool vs. Brentford
Premier Odds: Liverpool -204 vs. Brentford +490
When: Sunday, May 7 at 11:30 am ET | Matchweek 35
Where: Anfield, Liverpool, England
This should be a much tighter game than many believe. Liverpool has won 3 straight and warrants favoritism.
But Brentford is on a 2-match winning streak. The underdog in this beat Chelsea 2-0 and Nottingham 2-1 in their last 2. The overlay odds on the dog entice.
EPL Pick: Brentford | Bet Liverpool vs. Brentford Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Newcastle United vs. Arsenal
Premier Odds: Newcastle United +162 vs. Arsenal +157
When: Sunday, May 7 at 11:30 am ET | Matchweek 35
Where:St. James’ Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England
Arsenal is a point behind Man City on the Premier League standings, which is why this match is so important for the Gunners to win.
But although Arsenal should take this, we can’t look past Newcastle’s excellent form. The home team in this has won 4-of-5 with a loss. The loss came versus Aston Villa on April 15.
Since then, the home team has won 3 straight. Newcastle is the play.
EPL Pick: Newcastle United | Bet Newcastle vs. Arsenal Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
West Ham United vs. Manchester United
Premier Odds: West Ham United +226 vs. Manchester United +113
When: Sunday, May 7 at 2:00 pm ET | Matchweek 35
Where: London Stadium, London, England
Man U must take on Brighton on the road on Thursday, a game we believe goes Brighton’s way. So it’s tempting to back the home squad.
But in the last head-to-head, the Red Devils blasted West Ham 3-1. Not only that, but West Ham is on a 2-match losing streak heading into the week. United gets the nod.
EPL Pick: Manchester United | Bet West Ham vs. Manchester United Today
