English Premier League Matchday 6 Odds: Newcastle vs Man City, Top Games & Expert Analysis

My English Premier League Matchday 6 Analysis

While the players and managers might not be huge fans of the busy schedule, we all love it as fans and betters, as it means almost countless opportunities to wager and make some money.

For the purposes of this piece, we are going to turn our attention to the English Premier League and the games coming our way on Matchday 6.

There are some very big games at both ends of the table this weekend, so let’s take a look at 4 we love, with predictions for each.

Newcastle vs Manchester City

This is easily the biggest game of the week, but it’s one you are going to need to get up early for, as it goes off at 7:30 AM EST on Saturday morning.

Manchester City are coming off a bit of a scare last weekend, scoring an injury time equalizer against 10-man Arsenal to keep their place at the top of the table, which is where we are so used to seeing them.

Newcastle went unbeaten through their opening 4 games of the season, but they were surprised by Fulham last weekend, losing that one 3-1.

Chelsea vs Brighton

While unlikely to challenge for the title, both of these teams will feel as though they have a shot at picking up a Champions League spot by finishing in the top 4.

Chelsea got out to a wobbly start with a loss in their season opener, but they have since gone unbeaten and have won back-to-back games to move up to 5th in the table.

Brighton is unbeaten through their opening 5 games, but they are also on a run of 3 straight draws.

They might well be happy to keep that streak alive on the road this weekend.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

It is probably a little too early in the season to be pushing the panic button, but there has to be a legitimate cause for concern for both of these teams.

Everton finally picked up their first point of the season after a 1-1 draw with Leicester last weekend, but they are still second from bottom and look to be in trouble.

Palace are unbeaten in 3 straight games, but those all ended in draws, so they need to find a way to win to move away from the relegation zone.

Manchester United vs Tottenham

We jump ahead to Sunday for the final game on this list, and it’s a good one.

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing midweek showing in the Europa League, where they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to FC Twente.

Their league form has also been dodgy and they need to start picking up some wins to get out of mid-table.

Tottenham is tied on point with their opponent here, but they are a spot ahead of United on goal difference. A huge game for both teams.
