2024 BOSS Open | 46th edition of the Stuttgart Open
ATP Tour 250

June 10th – June 16th, 2024
Tennis Club Weissenhof | Stuttgart, Germany

2024 Boss Open Betting

While the top three seeds – Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and Ben Shelton – understandably command respect, the BOSS Open offers fertile ground for savvy bettors.

Analyzing betting ATP lines goes beyond just player rankings.

Consider factors like recent form on grass, historical performance at Stuttgart, and potential matchups that could favor a lower-ranked player.

Identifying these subtleties can unlock lucrative upset opportunities.

The grass court season on the ATP Tour commences this week with the BOSS Open in Stuttgart, Germany.

This year marks the 46th edition of the ATP 250 series tournament, played at Tennis Club de Weissenhof, and it’s a relatively solid field considering the French Open just ended on Sunday.

Notably, Alexander Zverev, who lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the final at Roland Garros, headlines the draw in his home country.

Let’s take a look at the top three seeds and some potential early round upsets.

Boss Open Top 3 Seeds

Alexander Zverev

Zverev surprisingly hasn’t withdrawn from the tournament as of yet, despite playing a gruelling 4 hour and 19 minute final at Roland Garros on Sunday.

He is scheduled to play in the BOSS Open for the first time since 2019 and is looking to become the first German player to win at Stuttgart since Michael Stich in 1991.

German Jan-Lennard Struff lost to Frances Tiafoe in last year’s final.

Zverev is 34-10 this season and won the Italian Open on clay court.

He made his first grand slam final at the French Open since 2020, when he was runner-up at the US Open.

Ben Shelton

He’s a much more complete player right now, however.

Shelton is 19-11 this season and coming off a third-round exit at Roland Garros.

He’s just 2-3 in his career on grass.

Boss Open Upsets

He hasn’t advanced past the second round in either of his last five tournaments and has yet to play Hanfmann, who should have the support of the vocal German crowd.

Hamad Medjedovic +115 vs. Alexander Bublik -160

Bublik is a strong grass court player, but like Tiafoe hasn’t been playing at his highest level in 2024.

He also hasn’t played Medjedovic, a rising 20-year-old player who is 13-7 this season.

Medjedovic scored an impressive first-round victory over favorite Fabian Marozsan in the first round and will look to keep rolling in the second round against another higher-ranked opponent.

2024 Boss Open Winning Pick

If Zverev plays and is committed to winning, he should have a clear path to the final.

He’s by far the most talented player in the draw and should have no trouble winning the top half of the bracket.

There’s a lot of potential challengers in the bottom half, but German Dominik Koepfer is a good pick to make it an all-German final.

He had an impressive first-round win over Zhizhen Zhang.
