On Sep. 6, the Atlanta Falcons battle the Philadelphia Eagles to open the 2018-2019 NFL Regular Season. I pick a team from Atlanta at Philadelphia for my NFL Week 1 Parlay. Games I also use are:  Pittsburgh at Cleveland, San Francisco at Minnesota and Washington at Arizona. Check out NFL odds, analysis, and picks for all games in my NFL Week 1 Parlay!

2018 NFL Week 1 4-Team Parlay Picks

Sep. 6

Atlanta Falcons +3 at Philadelphia Eagles -3

Starter Carson Wentz is doubtful to play Week 1. Back-up Nick Foles played great in the post-season. He hasn’t looked great this pre-season. Atlanta’s offense has scored a combined 20 points in 3 preseason games. It doesn’t mean much because Atlanta hasn’t played Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, or Julio Jones much. Like Philly’s D, the Falcons’ defense should be better this season. Wentz isn’t the only player who should be on the bench on Sep. 6. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery won’t play. Philly listed running back Jay Ajayi as questionable. The injuries give Atlanta the edge. NFL Week 1 Pick: Falcons +3

Sep. 9

Pittsburgh Steelers -6 at Cleveland Browns +6

Can Pittsburgh’s defense survive without linebacker Ryan Shazier? Shazier suffered a major injury last season that may have ended his football career. Up until the injury, Shazier had been Pittsburgh’s top player against the run. Compared to last season, Cleveland’s offense is night and day. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor led the Bills to the playoffs last season. Wide receiver Josh Gordon is the most mentally ready he’s been during his career. The defense should be much better as well. It’s impossible not to take the points on the Browns. NFL Week 1 Pick: Browns +6

San Francisco 49’ers +6 at Minnesota Vikings -6

Even with middle linebacker Reuben Foster taking a seat, the 49’ers’ defense should play competitively. Not only that, but San Francisco’s offense could be in mid-season form while Minnesota’s offense might need a couple of regular season weeks to gel. If the line were Minnesota -3, they’d be the bet. Offering a solid team like San Francisco 6-points doesn’t make sense. I’m backing the 49’ers. NFL Week 1 Pick: 49’ers +6

Washington Redskins pk at Arizona Cardinals pk

Washington’s running back situation remains in flux. Adrian Peterson should start and Chris Thompson will play on third downs, but Washington just signed AP last week while Thompson might not be 100% until mid-season. Even if Peterson and Thompson play well, Arizona’s defense should be one of the best in the NFL. On offense, Arizona upgraded the quarterback position by signing Sam Bradford. Running back David Johnson is fully healthy. Backing the Cardinals makes sense. NFL Week 1 Pick: Cardinals pk
