With that said, let’s find out who’s in the squared circle and who’s offering the best value against their boxing odds.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – September 9th Edition

Devin Haney (22-0) vs. Zaur Abdullaev (11-0)

  • When: Friday, September 13, 2019 at 5:00 PM ET
  • Where: Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York
  • TV: DAZN

Boxing Odds

Haney and Abdullaev will square off in a 12 round affair for the vacant WBC interim lightweight title. The 20-year-old Haney stands 5’8” with a 71-inch reach. He retained his WBC International and WBO Inter-Continental lightweight titles while claiming the vacant WBA International lightweight title with his seventh round KO win over Antonio Moran in May. The 25-year-old Abdullaev stands 5’9” and comes into this title bout off an emphatic TKO win over Henry Lundy in July.

Prediction

Zaur Abdullaev might be entering this title fight with an unblemished record after 11 bouts, but he certainly won’t be leaving the ring that way after this one. Devin Haney is by far, the faster, stronger and more athletic fighter in this pairing, plus he’s got a big edge in experience. Don’t think twice about making this pick as the reigning champ will get the relatively easy win to retain his belt.

Pick: Devin Haney Via Eighth Round TKO

Tyson Fury (28-0-1) vs. Otto Wallin (20-0)

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 at 11:00 PM ET
  • Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
  • TV: ESPN+

Boxing Odds

Fury and Wallin will square off in a 12 round affair for Fury’s WBO Inter-Continental lheavyweight title. The 28-year-old Wallin stands 6’6” with a 78-inch reach. The challenger comes into this affair off a ‘no contest’ bout against Nick Kisner in April that took place after Kisner was cut by an accidental headbutt. Prior to that, Wallin beat Adrian Granat via unanimous decision in April of 2018. Tyson Fury is 31-years-old and stands 69” with an 85-inch reach. The champ comes into this bout off an emphatic second round TKO win over Tom Schwarz in June.

Prediction

While Otto Wallin is undefeated and almost certainly won’t go down easily against Tyson Fury in this matchup. The challenger is facing an uphill battle against, not only Tyson Fury, but the fact that everyone wants to see Fury vs. Wilder 2 after the pair of champions fought to a thrilling draw a year ago. Fury will win this one, but I’m expecting a far more difficult fight than anyone expects.

Pick: Tyson Fury Via Unanimous Decision

Emanuel Navarrete (28-1) vs. Juan Miguel Elorde (28-1)

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 at 11:00 PM ET
  • Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
  • TV: ESPN+

Boxing Odds

Navarette and Elorde will go 12 rounds, for Navarrete’s WBO junior featherweight title. The 32-year-old Elorde stands 5’8” and has won 18 straight fights since suffering hhis only career loss way back in 2012. A native of the Philippines, Elorde got past Shohei Kawashima via unanimous decision in March after recording a pair of stoppage wins in each of his previous two bouts.

24-year-old Mexico native Emanuel  Navarrete stands 5’7” and he’s won a stellar 23 consecutive fights since suffering his only career defeat back in 2012. Navarette has recorded a pair of TKO wins in each of his last two bouts including a third round destruction of Francisco De Vaca in August that was his second successful defense of the WBO super bantamweight title he won by beating Isaac Dogboe in their first meeting in December.

Prediction

While both of these fighters have lengthy winning streaks and identical 28-1 records, Emanual Navarette is the pick to win and get it done in this one, seeing as how he’s the younger, more energetic and definitely, stronger fighter in this affair. All you need to know about this title bout is that Juan Miguel Elorde has a modest 15 knockouts in his career while Navarette has recorded a stupendous 24 KOs in 28 career fights. Navarette wins in a thrilling affair.

Pick: Emanuel Navaretter Via 10th Round KO
