Kenshiro Teraji -185 vs Masamichi Yabuki +155

  • WBC Junior Flyweight Title – Japan – 1:00 am ET

Boxing gyms in Japan have really picked up their game. Kenshiro Teraji and Masamichi Yabuki prove it. Teraji is an awesome 18-1 with 10 knockout wins.

Yabuki is 13-3 with 12 knockout victories. Both these dudes are warriors. They both throw a bunch of punches and aren’t afraid to take a hit to get into position to land something with force. Expect a brawl from the outset. It’s difficult to separate these two. So the best course of action is to take the odds on Yabuki.

Boxing Pick: Masamichi Yabuki

Muhammed Waseem +900 vs Sunny Edwards -2000

  • IBF Flyweight Title – Dubai, UAE – 5:00 pm ET

Waseem has a nice 12-1 record. The underdog has won 8-of-12 via technical knockout or knockout.

But although Waseem’s record is strong, he’s up against it versus Sunny Edwards. The favorite has won 17 with 0 losses. Edwards doesn’t have a ton of power, though. He’s won just 4 fights via KO or TKO. But although Waseem appears to have more power, he may not have the training to deal with Edwards. The chalk should win this.

Boxing Pick: Sunny Edwards

John Bauza -1400 vs Tony Luis +700

  • When: 6:00 pm ET
  • Where: New York, NY – ESPN/ESPN+

16-0 with 7 knockout victories, Bauza has rolled through is opponents. The 7 KO wins might alarm some.

But two of the knockout wins have come in Bauza’s last 2 fights and they were against top-notch opponents. Christon Edwards, who Bauza beat via TKO n the second round last June, had a 12-2 record. Bauza beat then 19-0 Michael Williams Jr. via TKO in the fourth-round in a bout last December.

Tony Luis is a good boxer. But the 29-4 fighter hasn’t stepped into the ring since 2020. He’s up against it versus the favorite.

Boxing Pick: John Bauza

Quincey LaVallais +950 vs Xander Zayas -2500

  • When: 9:00 pm ET
  • Where: New York, NY – ESPN/ESPN+

19-year-old Xander Zayas has already built a 12-0 record with 9 knockout wins resume. Zayas takes on 12-2-1 Quincey Lavallais on Saturday a huge favorite.

The chalk should have no trouble in this bout. LaVallais is a decent boxer, but Zayas is on another level. With every victory, Xander is learning more. Soon, he’ll be one of the best pound-for-pound in the world. Zayas wins this.

Boxing Pick: Xander Zayas

Edgar Berlanga -1600 vs Steve Rolls +800

  • When: 10:00 pm ET
  • Where: New York, NY – ESPN/ESPN+

Rolls is 21-1 with 12 knockout victories. The only loss Rolls has ever suffered happened versus the great Gennady Golovkin in 2019.

Since losing to Triple G, Rolls has beaten a couple of overmatched opponents. On Saturday, he takes on one of the most feared punchers in boxing.

Edgar Berlanga is 18-0 with 16 KO or TKO wins. What has to worry Rolls is that Berlanga has won his last couple of bouts via unanimous decision. Edgar is proving that he can win a fight without having to knock a dude out. That’s scary because if Berlanga can box his way to a win, what chance does any opponent have of beating him? Berlanga rolls over Steve, no pun intended.

Boxing Pick: Edgar Berlanga

Alexis Rocha -250 vs Blair Cobbs +195

  • When: 9:00 pm ET
  • Los Angeles, CA – DAZN

Alexis Rocha is a great boxer. The favorite has won 18-of-19. He’s knocked out 12 of his opponents. The lone loss happened against 23-0 Rashidi Ellis.

Blair Cobbs is undefeated with a 15-0-1 record. Cobbs has knocked out 10 of his opponents. But Cobbs is 32 while Rocha is 24. Cobbs should start slowing down. It happens to every boxer after 30.

Rocha is using this bout to put himself into a position for a potential title fight. The favorite looks tough to beat.

Boxing Pick: Alexis Rocha
