Hamilton dominated Edmonton 38 to 21 in the last match between these two. The Tiger-Cats scored 14 points in the first quarter. They scored 10 points in the second quarter. Behind 24 to 14 at halftime, the Eskimos couldn’t recover. Edmonton has gone 4-1 SU in their last 5 games, though. The hot Eskimos should have no trouble turning the tables on the Tiger-Cats in this match. Edmonton is the play. Pick: Edmonton Eskimos

• Toronto Argonauts -6 at Montreal Alouettes +6

Toronto is 3-5 SU. Montreal is 1-8 SU. Alouettes quarterback Johnny Manziel suffered a concussion before the game versus Edmonton, a loss. The Eskimos dominated Montreal 40 to 24. But, Montreal covered the spread because they were +18 dogs. Montreal should cover the spread on Friday. Manziel is questionable. If he plays, the Alouettes have a better chance to cover. Even if he doesn’t play, they can beat Toronto straight up, which means if we get points on the Alouettes, we should take them. Pick: Montreal Alouettes

• Winnipeg Blue Bombers +9 at Calgary Stampeders -9

What happened to Calgary in Week 10? We called the Saskatchewan Rough Rider’s upset…but 40 to 27? Calgary’s defense fell apart. The Stampeders must now pick themselves up and beat a team they lost to the last time they faced them, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Before losing 21 to 44 to Ottawa in Week 10, Winnipeg nursed a 3-game winning streak. The 5-4 SU Blue Bombers play mediocre football in most weeks, though. Plus, the winning streak included two wins over bad Toronto. Calgary should easily cover on August 25. Pick: Calgary Stampeders

• Saskatchewan Rough Riders +3 at British Columbia Lions -3

At first, the odds don’t look right. The Rough Riders beat the best team in the Canadian Football League. British Columbia lost to Toronto on the road. However, BC is 3-0 SU and ATS this season. The Lions beat Montreal, Edmonton, and Winnipeg at home. That makes British Columbia the favorites. Should they be? The Rough Riders played so well in Week 10 that a bounce performance, playing below expectations, could happen in Week 11. BC should win and cover versus Saskatchewan on Sunday. Pick: British Columbia Lions
