Who Are the Top Rated First Half Teams To Choose on NBA Betting?

Written by on January 29, 2016

If you’re looking for odds for NBA and teams that get off to great starts while pounding the opposition into submission in the first half of their respective games, then you should know that there are surprises all around when it comes to the best first half teams in the league right now. Thankfully, I’m going to highlight the top 10 first half teams in all of basketball in an effort to help you cash in early and often over the course of the coming weekend. With that said and a full slate of NBA action taking place tonight, let’s get started.

Team – First Half Scoring Average

Golden State – 58.5

The Warriors are putting up nearly 60 points per game in the first half en route to a league-high 115.1 points per night. The Dubs are second in the ATS standing at (28-17-1 ATS).

Oklahoma City – 54.8

The Thunder are scoring almost 55 points per game in the first half – but they’re also the second-worst ATS team in the league right now (19-29 ATS).

Sacramento – 53.2

I have no idea how the Kings average just over 53 points per game in the first half. Sacramento has had trouble translating their fine first half efforts into victories (20-26 SU).

Washington – 52.4

The Wizards are putting up just over 52 points per game in the first half but have also been one of the biggest disappointments in the league (20-24 SU).

LA Clippers – 52.2

When they’re not mired in dysfunction, the Clippers are putting up 52.2 points per game in the first half. Unfortunately, this franchise is generally completely mired in foolishness.

Houston – 51.7

The Rockets can score the ball like crazy, but James Harden and company have never met a defensive set they like or want to participate in (25-23 SU).

Boston – 51.6

The Celtics are up to their overachieving best once again this season after a great run last season to reach the postseason. The best thing about Boston’s starts is that it’s helped the C’s go 25-21-1 ATS so far.

Charlotte – 51.5

The Hornets are putting up over 51 points per game in the first half (thanks Kemba Walker) and have a solid ATS record to boot (22-23-1 ATS).

San Antonio – 51.4

The Spurs not only have the best defense in the league right now, but they’re also getting off to great first half starts, which is why they are the proud owners of the best ATS record in the league right now (31-15 ATS).

Denver – 51.2

The Nuggets are just 20th in overall scoring, but they’ve used good first half starts to post a solid 24-21-2 ATS mark that ranks as the eighth-best in the league right now.
