When you enter the playoffs as one of the top seeds in your conference, the expectations placed upon you can prove to be stressful. The San Antonio Spurs are in that category, landing the #2 seed in the West, and there may be no-one who expect more from them that their coach, Gregg Popovich. The Spurs got the series off to a great start, winning both of their home games, but things went a little south in Game 3, which they eventually lost 105-94. Displeased with the effort, or lack thereof, that his starters were putting in, Popovich benched them all too start the second half. It wasn’t enough to get his team back into the game, but you can bet that the message will have been heard loud and clear by the players forced to sit. Game 4 is set for Saturday night, with the Grizzlies looking to once again use home court advantage to tie the series up. They will be up against a Spurs team that are sure to be ready to go after the events of Game 3. Find the updated NBA betting odds here.
