Non-conference games don’t always throw up a lot of great match-ups, especially in the early stages of the NCAAB betting season, but we have a good one on tap this week. Bulldogs vs Seminoles NCAAB Betting Game Preview

This figures to be a pretty close one. That means that both teams offer pretty good value straight up. The OVER/UNDER is another intriguing option here.

Why bet the Mississippi Bulldogs

On the face of it, the 4-4 record currently held by the Bulldogs doesn’t look that impressive, but you need to dig a little deeper to find why these odds might be good value. The last 9 road games that the Bulldogs have played have seen them go 7-2 ATS. You also have to consider that Florida State are just 3-7 in their last 10 games versus teams from the Southeastern. The Bulldogs are also 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games. The OVER has also been a good bet when Mississippi State go on the road, as it has 7 times in their last 10 road games. There is also a reason why the Bulldogs might be a good straight up bet here, which is something I will get to in my final prediction.

Why bet the Florida State Seminoles

The Florida State Seminoles are off to a pretty decent 6-2 start, which is good enough for top spot in the ACC. The biggest reason to go with the Seminoles at these odds is because they are a healthy 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games versus a team with a winning road record of .400 or less. They are also a perfect 4-0 ATS in Wednesday night games, which is a good trend for those of you who pay attention to the calendar. The OVER/UNDER is a little trickier in this one, as the UNDER has favored the Seminoles, while the OVER has favored the Bulldogs of late.

If you look back at the last two meetings between this pair, you will see that the Mississippi State Bulldogs came away with the win both times, albeit on home court.
