North Carolina At Boston Odds, Betting Pick & TV Info

Written by on January 19, 2017

When it comes to choosing games to wager on, we all look at several different trends to get an idea of which games might be the best bets. One stat that is always particularly telling is the head to head meetings, as there always seem to be teams that seem somehow incapable of beating one rival in particular. Looking ahead to this coming Saturday, there is one match-up that very much fits that bill, and it the one that pits the North Carolina Tar Heels against the Boston College Eagles. This is a game that already looks like a mismatch, but which becomes even more so when you look at their recent history. This is a series that has been totally dominated by the Tar Heels, and given how each of these teams are performing this season, it’s tough to imagine how the Eagles are going to be able to reverse that trend. The biggest question here may well be whether Boston College can keep this on interesting throughout. Find the latest college basketball point spreads here.

Why bet on the North Carolina Tar Heels

The Tar Heels began their ACC campaign with a tough loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but they followed that up with 5 straight wins that has them sitting tied at the top with Florida State.  There have been a couple of losses to ranked teams in the NC resume this season, but other than the Tech loss, they have been pretty dominant against unranked opponents. That said, their 3-2 record on the road is perhaps not something that you would expect to see from a team ranked in the top 10. All that aside, though, the Tar Heels have had their way with Boston College in recent seasons, and are coming into this one on a 9-game winning streak versus the Eagles.

Why bet on the Boston College Eagles

This will be the third game for the Eagles versus ranked opposition this season, and their track record to this point has not been good. They have lost both previous games against the big boys, going down by an average margin of 14 points in those two games. They are just 2-4 in conference play, and are heading into this weekend with back to back losses behind them. It’s not the sort of form you want to be in when going against a team that you haven’t been able to beat on 9 straight occasions. The Eagles are 8-4 on home court this season, but that is actually the worst home winning percentage of all the teams in the ACC.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I’m not one for giving out lock of the week type picks, but if I was, this might well be it. I don’t see North Carolina having any trouble continuing their dominance against Boston College.
