Winning College Basketball Picks For This Week (Feb. 6 – 10)

Written by on February 6, 2017

We have another big week of college basketball action to look forward to as we draw ever closer to March Madness. This is when the real jockeying for position starts, as teams that are on the fringe try to raise their game in order to get into the tournament, while the ranked teams try and hold or improve their position so that they end up with a more favorable draw when the fun begins next month. I have picked out a few games this week where we might be able to cash some winning tickets, so let’s take a look at the college basketball betting lines here.

A Closer Look At The Winning College Basketball Picks For This Week (Feb. 6th – 10th)

Louisville Cardinals over Virginia Cavaliers – Monday

The Virginia Cavaliers are on a bit of a slide right now, and will start this week having dropped 2 of their last 3, which will almost certainly see them fall out of the top 10. They have been good at home, going 9-2 on the season, but will be up against a Cardinals team that has the second best road record amongst ACC teams at 4-2. The Cardinals have won 3 in a row, including their last 2 road games, and I think they will get the win by the slimmest of margins in this one.

Maryland Terrapins over Penn State Nittany Lions – Tuesday

Both teams are coming into this week on the backs of losses, but it is how they react to adversity that makes the difference here. The two previous games that Maryland dropped this season were followed up by 6- and 7-game winning streaks. This is a team that dos not get too down after a loss, and I believe that will serve them well against a Penn State team that is struggling to find its best form right now.

Baylor Bears over Oklahoma State Cowboys – Wednesday

This has all the makings of a great game, especially since the Oklahoma State Cowboys seem to be rounding into form at just the right time. They have reeled off 5 straight wins, including a huge victory over ranked West Virginia in their last outing. Baylor started last week ranked #2, but back to back losses are going to see them fall when the new rankings get released. Despite this reversal of fortune, I still think Baylor gets the win on the road.

Duke Blue Devils over North Carolina Tar Heels – Thursday

This may not be shaping up to be one of the best year’s in the history of the Duke Blue Devils, but they are still a very talented team that is tough to beat in their own building. Duke are 11-1 at home this season, and should be the favorite against a Tar Heels team that has been a little weak on the road this season, going just 4-3 so far. I like the Blue Devils to come away with the win here.

Yale Bulldogs over Dartmouth Big Green – Friday

Not much on the schedule for Friday night, so let’s pick a game that looks like the gimme of the bunch. Yale are 5-1 in Ivy Conference play, and will have a chance to steal the lead from Princeton when they welcome in Dartmouth on Friday night. The Big Green have been pretty awful, and are just 1-5 in conference play. This should be a comfortable win for Yale.
