College Football Florida Vs Missouri Week 7 Winning Predictions

Written by on October 13, 2016

For polar-opposite reasons, the Florida Gators and the Missouri Tigers will both be well-rested for their Week 7 SEC showdown on Saturday in the Swamp. While Mizzou is coming off planned bye last weekend, Florida had their Week 6 clash against LSU canceled because of the effects of Hurricane Matthew. With the Gators looking to hold on to their CFB playoff hopes, let’s find out which team if offering the most online betting value in this matchup.

Analyzing The College Football Gators Vs Tigers Week 7 Winning Predictions

When: Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 4:00 PM ET Where: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) TV: SEC Network Live Stream: NCAA Live NCAAF Odds: Florida Gators -13 / Over/Under: 50.5

Bet The Missouri Tigers at +13 Because…

The Missouri Tigers can be downright explosive offensively. Not only do the Gators often have trouble scoring the ball, but Missouri is pretty explosive offensively. Missouri has alternated SU wins and losses all season long and comes into this contest off a humbling 42-7 blowout against LSU two weeks ago. The Tigers are averaging 37 points per game, but have turned the ball over nine times through five games. Quarterback Drew Lock has completed an underwhelming 56.8 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions while running back Ish Witter leads the Missouri rushing attack with 257 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver J’Mon Moore has a team-high 27 catches and six touchdowns. Defensively, Missouri is allowing 23.4 points per contest with seven interceptions, three fumble recoveries and nine sacks.

Bet The Florida Gators at -13 Because…

The Gators have a lockdown defense and are playing at home. Florida moved to 4-1 by getting past Vanderbilt 13-6 two weeks ago. The Gators are averaging 28.4 points per game and have committed just five turnovers this season. Young quarterback Luke Del Rio has missed the last few games, he is expected to be back on the field for this contest and has completed a solid 61.4 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and two interceptions. Running back Jordan Scarlett leads Florida’s rushing attack with 274 yards and four touchdowns while wide receiver DeAndre Goolsby leads team in receiving with 22 catches. Florida’s stingy defense is limiting the opposition to just 11.6 points and 230.4 yards per game and has recorded eight interceptions, a pair of fumble recoveries and 19 sacks.

Expert Prediction and Pick

The Gators are the easy pick to win at home here and I’m going to back them to narrowly cover the college football betting line, mostly because Luke Del Rio will be back on the field to give them the passing attack – and offensive balance they’ve been lacking the last few weeks. Florida is 1-5 ATS in their last six games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a losing record. While Missouri has gone 20-8 ATS following a game they didn’t cover the point spread in, the Tigers are also 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six SEC games.

My Pick: Florida 31 Missouri 17
