Written by on August 11, 2016

The 2016 NFL regular season may still be few weeks away from getting started, but that’s okay…this funfilled look at the teams with the best odds to reach the playoffs this coming season is sure to please. If you want to know how many of last season’s playoff participants will make a return appearance in 2016 and which ones could be left on the outside looking in, let’s get started with these NFL free picks.

Here’s a Closer Look At The 2016 NFL Expert Picks To Make The Playoffs

Washington Redskins +180

The Washington Commanders went 9-7 last season to win the NFC East and reach the playoffs and are offering some fantastic odds for  team that could very well reach the postseason in consecutive seasons playing in an NFC East division that looks like it will be completely and utterly mediocre again this coming season.

New York Jets +150

The Jets won 10 games in Todd Bowles first season and could reach the playoffs in New England falters during Tom Brady’s four-game season-opening absence. Unfortunately, the Jets have a killer schedule in 2016.

Oakland Raiders +120

A ton of folks like the Raiders to reach the playoffs in 2016 and it’s quite understandable as Oakland is clearly heading in the right direction under n-nonsense head coach Jack Del Rio and a boatload of young talent.

Philadelphia Eagles +200

I believe every team in the NFC East has a legitimate chance to win the NFC East in 2016, including a Philadelphia Eagles team that will be playing for a first-time head coach this coming season.

New York Giants -105

While I’m not expecting the Giants to really reach the postseason in 2016, the fact that the G-Men are playing in a likely winnable NFC East this coming season makes their -105 odds to reach the playoffs very attractive.

Houston Texans -115

The Texans narrowly beat out Indianapolis last season to win the AFC South and could do so again after upgrading their quarterback position by adding former Broncos signal-caller Brock Osweiler in free agency.

Dallas Cowboys -130

At a reasonable -130, the Cowboys are a great pick to reach the playoffs in 2016 – if veteran quarterback Tony Romo can stay healthy and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott avoids any suspension for his role in an alleged assault.

Denver Broncos -160

The Super Bowl champions are offering fantastic odds to get back to the playoffs in 2016, even f it will be tougher with a season-long bullseye on their collective backs and mediocre starter Mark Sanchez under center.

Cincinnati Bengals -160

Five straight postseason appearances tell me the Bengals are a virtual lock to reach the postseason in 2016, making them a great pick at a reasonable -160.

Kansas City Chiefs -160

The Chiefs are my pick to beat out the Broncos for division supremacy in the AFC West, making Alex Smith and company a really nice selection at -160.

Minnesota Vikings -200

The Vikings won the NFC North a year ago and could beat out Green Bay again in 2016 if quarterback Teddy Bridgewater improves his passing. At -200, the Vikes are a great pick to get back to the postseason in 2016.

Arizona Cardinals -200

I have no idea why the Cardinals are offering such great value as a -200 pick to reach the playoffs this coming season, but I say Carson Palmer and company are a virtual lock.

Indianapolis Colts -200

I like the Colts to win the AFC South in 2016 with elite quarterback Andrew Luck back under center following an injury-filled campaign last season.
