Are the Cardinals a safe NFL Betting Pick for Week 6?

2017 NFL Predictions & Betting Guide For The Arizona Cardinals

Written by on June 21, 2017

Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals may have had their three-year run of recording double-digit victories snapped in 2016. But Bruce Arians’ squad has some legitimate hopes of getting right back in the playoff mix in 2017 after addressing their most pressing needs this offseason. However, whether the Cards reach the playoffs or not this coming you should know that there are a handful of attractive games on Arizona’s 2017 schedule that no NFL predictions enthusiast should miss out on. Thanks to the expert analysis that you’re about to get on Arizona’s six ‘must-bet’ matchups of the season. You’re going to have a great opportunity to strike pay dirt a half-dozen times this coming campaign.

2017 NFL Predictions & Betting Guide For The Arizona Cardinals

Week 3 (Monday)

Cowboys (-2) at Cardinals Analysis: The Cardinals will host a Dallas Cowboys team that won 13 games last season, but I think they’ve got plenty of reason to have hope for the outright win seeing as how they scored 31 points or more in four of their final five games last season. Dallas has a powerful rushing attack, but I’m thinking Carson Palmer, David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald could have their way against a Cowboys defense that was mediocre at best last season, particularly in finishing 26th against the pass. Arizona gets the narrow home win, but the ATS cover goes to Dallas or ends up as a push. Pick: Arizona 27 Dallas 24

Week 6

Buccaneers at Cardinals (-3) Analysis: This will be a really good test for both teams with Tampa Bay looking to improve on their 9-7 record and Arizona looking to rebound from their 7-8-1 campaign. While I believe that Jameis Winston is now a better quarterback than Carson Palmer, the Cards laid an emphatic 40-7 smackdown on the Bucs in Week 2 last season to cash in as a 7.5-point home favorite. I like the Cards to get the home win against Tampa Bay again this season to help them show among the top NFL predictions, but it’s going to be a lot closer than last season’s meeting. I’m thinking another push is in order for this Week 2 clash of playoff hopefuls. Pick: Arizona 30 Tampa Bay 27

Week 11

Cardinals at Texans (-2.5) Analysis: The Cardinals have the better offense, but last season, Houston had the league’s top-ranked overall defense. With the Texans going 7-1 SU at home a year ago and adding gifted quarterback Deshaun Watson to the fold, I’m thinking Houston will put just enough points on the board to make the home win stand up, although, again, this matchup has the look and feel of a classic field goal finish. Pick: Texans 24 Cardinals 21 NFL Predictions Titans at Cardinals (-3)

Week 14

Titans at Cardinals (-3) Analysis: I like the way the Tennessee Titans won nine games last season behind still blossoming signal-caller Marcus Mariota and I believe they could reach the postseason in 2017 if all goes according to plan. However, with Arizona playing at home in this last season matchup, I’m going to urge you to back Carson Palmer to mostly have his way against a Titans defense that finished the 2016 season ranked an uninspiring 30th against the pass, (although they did address some of their needs this offseason). Pick: Cardinals 31 Titans 27

Week 10 (Thursday)

Seahawks (-1.5) at Cardinals Analysis: While I like Seattle Seahwaks to win the NFC West in 2017, the fact of the matter is that Arizona played their division rivals to a hard-fought 6-6 tie at home in Week 7 last season as a 2.5-point favorite before going on the road to beat Seattle 34-31 in Week 16 to cash in as a 9-point road dog. This time around, I like Arizona to get the home win and narrow ATS cover. Pick: Cardinals 24 Seahawks 21

Week 16

Giants at Cardinals (-2) Analysis: While I really like the Cards heading into 2017, I also like the Giants because of their phenomenal defense and explosive passing attack. While the G-Men certainly need to address a rushing attack that was basically non0-existent last season, I’m feeling a road upset in this Week 16 matchup of NFC title contenders, particularly with the Giants going 4-4 SU and 4-3-1 ATS on the road last season and among the current NFL predictions. Pick: Giants 24 Cardinals 23
